he's not way past it, physically he's there but mentally he fights like a child or a bully.

if things dont go judahs way i expect him to fold mentally and look for ways out by either cheating or generally just not fighting.

but if he sees he can get to khan and even hurt him its gonna make him confident and he will fight off of that adrenalin.
