If Alverez was at 147 you would say he **** also .. Also Hell No Case nut Ortiz can not beat Alexander .. the boy is soft as ****.. he's quite twice in the ring.. All Alexander has to do is hit Ortiz in the gut really hard and he will quit.

To bad the Ghost is going to make him quit for good when the meet in the ring.:lol:

Well DUH! If one of the Klits had a 50-0 record with 1 ko in their career, I'm sure Floyd would try and do what no one else in history has. Problem is that's not realistic and smart athletes want to enjoy the money they make, not be Ali and shuffle through life. Canelo is a big kid who could be a potential injury waiting to happen. Do you really need to rehash Mike McCallum in order to under stand the risks presented here. If Canelo was Julian Jackson and fighting in a division close to his natural weight, then I would call Floyd on it because that's just a hazard of his occupation. But, I wouldn't expect someone like Armstrong, Floyd or Pac to fight guys that much bigger than them just to see if they could lose do to such a size advantage.

    What?

If Gamboa is 143lbs and Mayweather 150lbs then the difference is 7lbs, end of story. It doesn't mean Gamboa is "tiny" next to Floyd!

If Floyd and Pac "fought all the small people" it would just mean they were fighting guys the same size as themselves!

Same reason its ok for a fighter like Hops to feed on smaller fighters who are coming up or even Hagler. Why these guys don't need to fight bigger guys to clarify their true greatness is beyond me.

And why do people keep talking about height. There seems to be this assumption that height is "real" size and weight means nothing.

    Like "Duran is a bad-ass for fighting a 6'1" 160lb guy but Floyd can't even fight a 5'7" 170lb guy".

The weight is the relevant factor ffs

I wouldn't doubt if Oscar was close to 20 lbs bigger than him that night. I'd say at least 15 lbs.

dude please you don't know what your talking about .. For one Duran for what ever reason was able to eat his way to 168 , and second Barkley did not weigh 190 the night of the fight. so you have one fighter that can make 168 and the other fighter not fighter 20 lb above that.

which bring us to floyd .. even though floyd has competed at 154 he has never made the official weight , he has alway come in under the weight ether at 149 or 150 but he has never weigh over 151.
Carnelo on the other hand come in at 171 after re-hydrating which is extreme when fighting a guy who can't even make your weight class.

Besides, is it that hard for people to realize that Duran had serious pop in his fists. As a matter of fact, historically, most guys who climbed up in P4P rankings tended to have good ko power i.e. SRR, Duran, Armstrong. PBF is one of the few who has done it with skill and a lack of ko power.

Canelo cannot beat Mayweather at this point and time. GBP knows this, Mayweather knows this and so does Canelo.

True but he was able to do this against one of the weakest title holder at 168.. I doubt this would have been the case had Duran faced Tony , Nunn or Ben at that weight.
Barkley was a face first brawler with bad balance, who could cut just by looking at him too hard .. He had more scar tissue on his eyes then he had natural skin.

Barkley was custom made for Duran ..

After Watching the Trout fight Canelo only has a punchers chance of beating Floyd. The guy has to catch him with a.Mosley type shot in order to win. Floyd is to good for that boy. I say pull a Pacquiao and.fight at a catch weight for his belt 150lbs
