Doesn't it suck that America is where your hero fights, where they grant him awards for his boxing achievements, and where he makes his PPV revenue? It was also an American that made him into the fighter he is today.

second, hatton/pac was a fight between 2 champs, from different weights, and pac actually was more legit (having not been coming off some poor showings)

casa/jmm was the ring title (all bets off here, due to the fact is has no mandatory D, and the ring kind of do whatever they want)

pav/lock, yeah, no clue on this one...maybe an HBO thing, but not sure

You're comparing apples to oranges. Taking it up the ass is a far, far cry from a few extra blood tests. I understand we're not all physically and mentally built the same. But we're not dealing with little league here. We're talking about Pro Boxing - a sport in which combatants are expected to deal with unreasonable circumstances. Unless you condone drug use you would be insane to think just 6 total blood tests is an unreasonable request.

Pac says the tests make him weak. Isn't that another way of admitting you're a mental midget? I thought that sort of thing is taboo in the sport of Boxing (??!!). I'm sorry but we must not allow him to make lame excuses like that only because what is being required is not outlandish. Now if Floyd requested a semen sample then...ok, by all means Pac would have every right to tell him to go fist himself because something like that is absolutely out of the question and no athlete should have to go through that (unless it's Gina Carano asking you to spooge her face inside a locker room).

I get it. What you're arguing for is Pac shouldn't have to do anything he's not interested in. But here's the thing - many times we have obligations to fulfill in order to stay on the upside of life. I sure as hell don't want to get out of bed on Monday morning to go to work. And I really don't have to. But there's a price to pay for such course of action or lack thereof. If Manny doesn't take the fight against Floyd he'll give Floyd a chance to pass him in the ATG rankings. He'll also be criticized for ducking random blood tests. I'm guessing Pac really wants to fight Floyd otherwise he'd be retired by now. When you want something great you're gonna have to make a few sacrifices in order to get it.

my first search of "boxing fight posters" in google and it shows these posters where the champion is always billed first so its not as typical as what you are saying. just like hatton-pac, hearns was going up to fight for haglers middleweight title. pac was fighting for then hatton's ring and IBO title.

 

i admire you joyboys for defending floyd for whatever he says. your priority is more of defending him rather than seeing this fight. at least you guys could be honest with it.

 

I've said it in some threads earlier. I'm all for random blood testing until the day of the fight. I also believe both Floyd and Pac should have the option of cancelling or postponing a fight if they feel weakened from giving blood at any point prior to the fight. I mean, really, this is all about a fair playing field and ensuring a clean PEDs-free fight, right? This is supposed to be also about having 2 great fighters in their top forms fighting each other with no physical and mental compromises.
