Who the **** is this Caleb Truax the Scene is talking about?!?

Undefeated MW from Minnesota... who, after taking shotter than shot Antwun Echols to a UD10, fought for the Minnesota State MW title.

"Taylor's handlers became reluctant to match Taylor with a fighter like Alcine" - again, WHAT??????

...and Showtime is making shot JT headline Friday/Saturday night events on their network. WTF, really.

    :? :? :? :? :?

You're throwing me off without Lemieux in avatar.

Taylor's a fragile egg. Jessie Nicklow shouldn't of last as many rounds as he did with Taylor, the power's not there. I wouldn't have put Taylor in with Alcine either, he could've pulled the upset on Taylor and ruin Haymon and Showtime's investment. Traux is a typical Minnesota fighter -Vanda, Kolle, Bosante, Kost. Tough & limited, just like prospects like 'em. After this, maybe Taylor will step up and fight Ishida.

I need to see Jermain fight someone with light hands but can take a punch. If he can survive and rally for 12 rounds without gassing out then I want to see him fight again, if not, then he's flirting with brain damage.

...investment? That's the thing, I don't think JT can even survive a fight at world level at this point. Don't know what the overall plan is... you're saying Ishida could be some stepping stone for him after he beat Kirkland but lost to PWill? Gearing up for what fight, barring a JT win??

I've had my G35x as my avi for about a month now. :D

And see, I thought Alcine actually fit that description. Guess I was wrong. Guess they either think the man can punch, or think he's glass jawed remembering the Angulo KO. Or both. Dunno.

Taylor is done, he's just trying to milk a little money before he retires.

    He's really done.

I get that. Just thought Alcine was still considered a doable fight... it's not like the guy's a world beater, and it's not like it's a huge step up from Nicklow.

    Poor JT.

Alcine is no KO artist but can punch hard enough to hurt opponents with accumulation of punches...IMO Alcine would have beat Tayler who looked really shot vs Nicklow.

I'd say the plan is a multi-million dollar fight with Chavez or maybe Martinez. In the meantime he's making people ok money on the smaller Showtime cards.

I don't think Ishida is really a step up from Traux, but he's been on national tv a few times and having gone the distance with PWill there's something to sell. Heck they'll still milk the Kirkland fluke. Alcine can box and survive, and even if JT wins comfortably, he might not look good.
