So, just how badly did Duddy get beaten up???

He had a bad cut on his face due to some nice flush shots. But he won the fight fair and square. No robbery.

 

he came out looking to impress with some excellent combinations in the first minute,however he got complacent and allowed his hands to drop letting smichet in with some huge telegraphed counters,these opened up duddys eye and this trend was to continue until the 5th round when duddy made the adjustment and started to box smichet allowing smichets only form of attack to be those wild swinging counters.
duddy fought a well balanced fight and found openings once smichet tired catching him with a few hooks and dominating with his jab and movement.
however,this does not detract from the fact that duddy was opened up badly and his cuts will likely keep him out of sparring for at least 3 months,no pavlik fight in the immediate future is almost a certainty now.

 

Was ringside to watch the fight, Duddy got battered in the majority of the rounds and busted up real bad, the decision was roundly booed when announced. New York fight fans won't stand for bull****.

 

yes if he can fight the fight that he needs to,not the fight the fans want to see.although saying this i dont think john will ever detract from a war unless big ol' don turner shouts it and shouts it.

made,the decision was only booed because of duddys poor performance and the fact that because smichet threw the bigger punches,bigger punches dont mean **** when you get outboxed for 2 1/2 minutes of a round.

First 4 round he took ALOT of hard shots, FLUSH. Walking through them to fight better in the second half of the fight in what i scoed as a 7 rounds to 3 rounds win for him

Has 3 cuts, one very bad, but if/when you see the fight, you'l wonder how he was still standing after some of the shots

Its just starting to remind me of Wayne McCullouygh, fan favourite, lacking something, bad defence, big heart and maybe Duddy has the same granite chin too

 

Well you only have to look at his face to see he got beaten up

That's 4 months minimum, possibly some plastic surgery
