So funny aren’t they this lot,it’s like every six months they find some Middleweight who’s done very little at 160 and make out he’s some killer who Golovkin is afraid of,I know James 5000 that other Canelo nut hugger said for ages that Eubank jnr was Golovkin kryptonite and that GGG ducked him when he couldn’t find his pen lol, funny that though cause since Groves did a number on him I’ve not heard James mention Eubank and Golovkin ducking him.......how odd is that Gil?

So Gil who do we have now on the list that would potentially kill GGG and have got him running scared?well by my estimation we have Andrade a guy who’d done nothing at 154 for a few years and at 160 got a very boring win against an opponent whose name escapes me.
I’d say Charlo will be on that list as he was involved in a real tear up at 160lbs against a guy with one leg so quite right we should add him to the list.
And then Casual that I am this Derevchenko fellow who I’m sure can fight as he’s either Russian or Eastern European but to be sure I can’t think of any big fights or opponents at 160 that would warrant such fan boyism from Chicano,James,Isal ect but hey, what does that matter we’ll just stick him on the list like we did Eubank and Jacobs before that and tell the forum Golovkin scared of him lol.

How am I doing.....I’ll bet you’re all blown away how I can read minds and see into the future eh.?

Can you imagine being El Chicano and his followers(Isal,James5000 and Shadow)for a day lol?what must it be like to be so readable to the point where we can call their next moves before they even do em lol.
Can we not get a Canelo fan on here with some imagination lol

Not sure on the present situation but only weeks ago it was still GB doing the promotion for the event on Cinco De Maya hence the choice of opponents Gennady had ie Spike ect.

Didn’t hear any of those goons mention that

Yes quite how anyone can call someone for ducking without knowing the facts is beyond me,how do they know Derevchenko wants the fight?
For years as Brook fan I called him for taking easy fights and then when he fought Golovkin out of sheer desperation it came out from Hearn that it was murder trying to get Brook big fights, that he fought GGG and then Spence on the back of it,told me all I needed to know about the guy and I had to admit that I got Brook all wrong.

In your opinion, is Deveyenchenko more deserving of a G fight than Charlo?

GGG is now a 36 year old pressure fighter. It's in his best interest to carefully select his opponents now. He just doesn't have the physical tools these days to justify taking a high risk/low reward type fight.

5 years ago he sends him into a grave Curtis Stevens style. But that fighter is a memory now, he doesn't exist anymore.

    Breadman's comments:

It seems as if everyone is upset with GGG because he hasn’t fought since September and he still wants to fight. Did everyone forget that Canelo is the one who messed this event up? I understand why GGG didn’t select Derevyanchenko as an opponent. SD is a fight where he has to readjust his mindset for. You guys don’t realize how a camp goes. A fighter locks in on a certain style and opponent. Then boom he has to just click a switch and adjust to another fighter.

I knew GGG would not select Andrade or SD. I’m telling you guys right now, don’t be surprised when Vanes holds his own. I’m not saying he will win but I am saying he will land big shots. Vanes has a fast right hand. He also fights at 154 so taking a fight on short notice at 160 benefits him. You may not know this but fighters don’t need 8 weeks to peak out. I know Vanes only has 3 weeks so I don’t expect him to be in 12 round shape. But he can be sharp for 6-8 rounds. I expect a competitive fight. I also expect everyone to criticize GGG after the fight because you guys don’t realize how tough it is to have to do what he’s doing. At his age he has to really get up for fights and Canelo was that guy for him. He’s in a no win situation.

I think we're almost 4 pages in and you're the first guy to mention that Golovkin is now 36 years old. You don't just roll out of bed and fight a guy like dereveyachenko on short notice. Especially not at GGG's age and with his style. It's just not going to happen. And these guys can whine all they want. No 36 year old pressure fighter is taking on derevyachenko on short notice.

Yes. At first I was very unhappy with GG (see my post on the first page), but after seeing Edwards and a few other well-respected commentators' and posters' comments I feel less critical.

I still feel sorry for Derevyanchenko though, he's going to have to wait ages for his shot.

Has IBF ordered the fight yet?

No. The thing is that in the IBF rules there's no precedent for ordering a fight at such short notice. The best they can do is start a 30-day negotiation period, followed by a purse bid, and then the fight must occur within 90 days.

Clearly they can't do anything about May 5.
