So Khan was obviously weight drained when he got KO'd early in his career

His Build was way too big for Lightweight, thats why he was getting dropped back then, weight drained.

    makes sense.

also his legs seem stronger now too thanks to Ariza.

  2. Thanks to Ariza's "special shakes", with a little bit of HGH mixed in, Khan's chin has improved from "utter ****" to "bad".

    agreed

similar to cotto I think. the weight helped. He'll never have a granite chin, but i'm quiite sure that the punches he took tonight would have KOed the 135 version of Khan

Yeah. But unlike Pacquiao, who is too superstitious for his own good, Khan HAS said before the Malignaggi fight that he's willing to take OSDT in any way shape or form (because he's done it before during the Olympics).

And that shut Paulie up after he said that.

That should shut you up PEDs carpetbaggers.

I've said this all along. I remember Khan giving an interview, raving about how fit he was, and was gloating how he only had a bodyfat % of 2%... I recall thinking to myself, what a dozy ***** he was, and hey presto, he got sparked in his very next fight. Ariza and roach haven't done anything special with him... all they have done is feed him!

I think getting hit with a huge shot you dont see coming is half the reason fighters are KO'd. Many times in a fight a fighter can take a bigger shot than one that may have previously KO'd them in another fight in their careers simply because they saw it coming and was able to brace themselves and maybe roll with the punch. Same in a fight were they go down in round 1 or 2 say, then take bigger shots and are fine in the later rounds! Did their chin get better? If someone is sucker punched and all relaxed they can be KO'd easily. Not seeing a punch coming isnt the same but if your body isnt prepared for whats about to hit then its effects are far worse.

I think he's just matured physically. In the same way a 14 year old is (probably) easier to drop than a 24 year old.

Being weakened by cutting too much weight is a bigger reason that fighters get hurt. Thier are tons of examples were fighters were hurt often at smaller weights then seemed to get stronger chins as they moved up and faced bigger harder hitting fighters.

Khan is still chinny but people don't realize that with great conditioning, better technique, experience, etc. A boxer can improve his punch resistance.

I said it all along. Tough making the weight, and he was far, far too top heavy. He had a Juan Urango type imbalance going on. His upper body was massive at 135 and then you looked at his legs and realised why. He had nothing under his legs to take the power.

It's the same with Pacquiao and people getting suspicous that he can take shots from welterweights. His legs are ****ing huge.
