Well, the WBA can stuff their belt up their ass for all I care since it is toilet paper anyhow. And quite trying to make it sound like Haye is the only meaningful fight at HW. He is not a meaningful fight at all because he hasn't done anything at the weight other than shoot off his mouth. You can post all you want but you have made a fool of yourself with this thread. The HW division by WWM's rules? :patsch Yeah. Right. OK. Whatever. You have had your ass handed to you by lots of posters on this one and just don't want to admit it. I'm out of this since you seemed to be determined to try and beat eveyone into submission on this one and I have no time to waste with someone that refuses to see the validity of the arguments. Wald is a ***** because Haye pulled out. You are just pathetic now. :-(

seems like a lot of people agree with me though... I just want to be excited for a fight in teh sport of boxing

i would pay for wlad vs haye... i would not pay to see any other fight in boxing.... if i was rich i would fly to germany into schalke arena to watch wlad vs haye....

there is no other fight in the hw division i would pay for... maybe haye vs arreola

thats all im saying... all this other **** about belts, unification, and whatever else you have to bring to the table is irrelevant to me

so would you rather see shane fight andre berto so he could move closer to welterweight unification.... or would you rather see shane mosley fight floyd mayweather?

oh wait.. unification is the greatest thing you can do in the sport of boxing... so i guess berto vs shane is the best fight you can make at welter right now....

    and you better not say

"oh its the ring magazine belt... **** the wbc belt"

**** belts in general.... good fights> winning "belts" .... in 2009 belts mean nothing.. especially as many belts as there are and how easily they just hand them out

Now that's a good idea right there... Arreola will fight in early fall and he still doesn't have an opponent lined up :bbbBelts obviously are not as prestigious as they were, but you are completely discrediting them when they are still very important for the fighters and for events. I think it's very naive to completely forget about the belts just as it is naive to completely rely on them. I would rather see Shane vs Floyd, but I would not complain about Shane vs Berto either (mainly because of the belt). But even still Haye doesn't fill that much more importance to a fight like Floyd does. Would I rather see Haye vs Wlad over Cahgaev vs Wlad? yes, for pure entertainment reasons... but I still believe the Chagaev fight is actually more meaningful. But more importantly I would rather see Chagaev vs Wlad on June 20 than Haye vs WLad on July something. You also say that to you many things are irrelevant, well, to many people (perhaps the fans that actually planned on watching the fight live in Germany) your points are irrelevant too. My single point is that Wlad is not a ***** for taking on Chagaev instead of David Haye.

I have to admit that my initial reaction was to think of Wladakir as a ***** or as I so elegantly put it, Dr ***** chin! but now that I think about it 5 weeks is a long time to wait when you already wanted to fight in April or March. Besides it looks like Haye will face Vitali next anyway..... it coould be as soon as July!

spot on, im back to not giving a sh!t about the hw division, if wlad beats chagaev who really cares?

this is how i and a lot of people feel, no one i know will be watching the chagaev fight or had watched the rahman fight, thompson fight(i watched both for some reason), they arent interested, the klitchko's dont interest them, they all like boxing and will watch fights like cotto v clottey coming up

they were interested in the haye wlad fight, they like me thought wlad was favourite but that we didnt really know what would happen, the hype that haye had added and wlad reacting to it with the 'pizza face' stuff made it more interesting.

all gone, feel deflated, 3 weeks more, 5 weeks more, bottom line wlad should have waited and gave the fans what they wanted.

When the champ gets injured, the challenger waits it out... is it that hard to figure out the difference between that and this?

My preference would have been to wait and make an agreement with Chag if the July date fell through, he'd step in - I'm surprised that hasn't been talked about more. BUT, rumours about Haye's tv contract, his being out past July 11, German tv considerations (which is probably good $$ for WK)... I'm guessing there's a fair bit going on that we don't know about.

Wlad is just peaking physically and emotionally for the big prizefight on June 20th. He wants to also please all the German fans who have shelled out their time and money to come to the big event. He picked by far the most dangerous replacement he could find in the undefeated Ruslan, a fighter well known to the German boxing fans. A good business decision and typical professionalism displayed by Wlad and his team. I suspect the dangerous southpaw will give Wlad some scary moments and Wlad had better use his lateral movement and fire off that jab. Ruslan's got some talent and good professional and amateur experience. He'll make it a worthwhile fight to watch.
