So I'm meant to be-lie-ve that Canelo is stronger and more power than natural light heavyweights Eleber Alverez and Anothony Yarde

This same ''El Canelo'' who in his own weight division couldn't knock out a malnourished weight drained Junkie in Chavez Jr! after throwing the kitchen sink at him

Anthony Yarde who is younger and naturally bigger, whilst on steroids, can hit Kolave with a flurries of power punches and not knock him down once. Not even a knee!. This even after very late in the fight when SK was completely exhausted that that he couldn't keep his hands up to protect himself, abandoning all form of defense, whilst AY was peppering him with a barrage of loaded up power shots and SK still stood tall.

How many times did he get back up in that fight after being knocked down by Elieder, who again we're meant to believe is weaker than Canelo, who only needed to tap SK just once for him to completely fall to pieces and not even make attempt to get back up?

I'm meant to believe and swallow the story that It took a tiny glorified MW to be the first and only man to one punch KO the krusher,

Kovalev's turnaround time from the Yarde fight was short, and he was not fully hydrated. Simply put, dehydrated fighters are at a significant disadvantage compared to their normally rehydrated selves. There's a reason A sides play weight games.

Yet it wasn´t a one punch KO...
And Alvarez is leagues better than Yarde.

And Eleider? Well he actually KOd Kovalev... Unfortunately for him, he got pretty much schooled in the rematch.

Alvarez applied pressure all night and landed some good power punches, particularly to the body.
In the 10th and 11th it was obvious that fatigue had caught up with Kovalev.

    It's a strange one, isn't it?

P.S What about Canelo vs Yarde?

Do you think Canelo would ever take that fight?

Or... Kovalev has a weaker chin as almost every 160lbs opponent Canelo faced.

The only theory that makes sense is Kovalev's passive doppelganger took his place against Canelo.

Kovalev is shot like Roy Jones late in his career and Alvarez is roided up to the eye balls.
Look at AJ, when he was off the juice he couldn't punch at all. In UK he brutally stopped most of his opponents.

The only other chinny guys who Canelo fought in the last few years+ were Khan and Kirkland. They both got lit up.

Canelo wasn't stronger , Kovalev moved him back easily when they were in the clinch.

OP is the biggest spin doctor on ESB this dude never ceases to amaze me how disingenuous he can be.

the punch was as full powered as canelo could have made it for the type of punch it was. it was one of those fully wound, rotating from the torso and hips type shots (as opposed to a wild unbalanced Windmill wilder haymaker) that dudes throw at heavy bags. i don't care if it's canelo who did it, he's a big guy (180lbs isn't exactly small) with speed and above average power. A guy with a faded chin like Kovalev isn't taking that kind of shot.

not to mention it wasn't a one punch KO, he followed the huge initial one with a free shot right on the money while Kova brains was already rattled.

KO was legit, but fight itself strange as hell. Kovalev was super friendly to Canelo inside and outside the ring, he was lovely tapping his gloves all the fight with a weak ass jab, that looked more like push than a punch. Was bowing to him after every small fouls etc... I am not making excuses for Kovalev like many other posters, Kovalev gave up. Talentwise he was a a great fighter and champ, but mentaly not really champ material. Remember how Martinez, who couldnt stand straight was begging his coach to give him one more round? Thats a champions spirit. Kovalev took money. Good for him doe, his life is a wreck anyway now.
