Mayweather was around 160 on fight night. Pacquiao is about 4lbs heavier.

I dont want to see Marquez Pac at 147. 135 would be the ideal fight but we know that aint happening, 140 should be as high as it goes.

fmj/jmm@144 is meaningless and if pac fights jmm @144+ would also be meaningless

    It was 146.

Gay weigh in at exactly 146 after they changed the contract to 147 when gay knew he can not make 144..

So 147 should be okay since jmm won't have to worry about weights but concentrate on just strategy and techniques. Likewise with PAC. Intact they should fight in an open weight category because PAC usually comes in at 148 and jmm at 144-146 during fight time. So no one can say that they are drained.

Marquez said what he couldn't cope with most in his fight against Mayweather was the extra weight Floyd had on him. Marquez said Mayweather weighed atleast 15lbs more than him fight night, so he must've been 160.
Pacquiao is a small welter. He rehydrates to a max 148. Marquez rehydrated to 145 in his last fight, so it's really not that much of a stretch as people are making out.
The issue with this fight being at 147 has more to do with Marquez maybe being a bit slow and sluggish carrying the extra weight, than with Pac being able to overwhelm him with brute strength.

its a non issue really as someone pointed out. these guys are of same size, they wont be fighting at WW and coming in as MW. JMM can chose not to go as high in weight, just like what Pac did against Marg. Arum stated already that they can put rehydration clause if the other camp feels the need to.

    This.

Not interested in Pacman fighting JMM anyway, Pacman is at WW and JMM is at LW, Roach says that Pac is not going lower than WW and JMM is not suited to WW.

Styles do make fights but JMM will get knocked out, at this stage of their carrers. IMO

Mayweather was 160? Hmmm....he's never been that heavy in any fight before or after the JMM fight. Fight night weights were never disclosed. So...how do you know? :think

No i don't really want to see this fight @ 147. Marquez is too small and too old at this stage of his career. Berto or mosley should be pac's next fight.
