Well what do ya know, another weak excuse. Too convenient for my taste. That's gonna be these guys excuses from here on out when they lose. Oh, I had a bad shoulder, I couldn't throw. He miscalculated, underestimated TL. You could tell by that tan he wasn't training in the gym. He was more interested in basking in the beautiful California sun and admiring all the ladies we have in abundance out here, to be worried about Lopez. Fake news! There is no injury. Loma is trying to please his base. Don't fall for it.

I don't like excuses either especially injuries or other excuses like "age". But at the same time, when there's an actual injury, even something as laughable as a toe, it's almost impossible to keep it hidden as it always seems to get out eventually even when a fighter doesn't bring it up. Like Pac vs Mayweather, Pac fought with an injury, he really never used it as an excuse or even brought it up did he? It just gets out there eventually and his fans end up using it as an excuse to explain what happened. Injuries just suck because they take the luster off a win when you find out the guy was injured. What would you have done if you were Pac? You finally get a chance to fight Mayweather, how could you pull out ya know? His fans would never have let him hear the end of it, and may not have ever gotten another chance to fight Floyd.

Injuries are a part of sports, and some fighters are luckier than others to not get injuries, like Mayweather and others who avoid injuries by taking care of themselves, and living a certain lifestyle. But injuries are not something you can always control, so it really is a double edged sword. But even knowing all of that, I still can't stand fighters who make injury excuses even if it's true because that's not what you want to hear after a fight. It's an annoying problem and frankly i don't know what the solution is. Because I know why Haye didn't want to pull out vs Wlad (or Bellew) or why Pac didn't want to pull out vs Floyd or why Loma didn't want to pull out vs Lopez. You convince yourself it's not that bad, and you can still win, you know if you pull out you're seen as a quitter or a coward and you'll never hear the end of it. You think well if I fight with it even if I lose I'll be seen as a warrior but then this happens and Loma kind of isn't seen as a warrior. Maybe he is to some but where do you draw the line as being a warrior or just not being smart. It's the same when it comes to stoppages in fights and quitting on your stool. (like JCC Jr vs Jacobs) Do you risk permanent damage for warrior status or do you take care of yourself and live to fight another day. Because no matter how good you are, everybody's human and has limits. You only have so many fights in you.

Even Mayweather as perfect as he career was, he knew when to call it quits. he still could have fought on and finished 55-0 or maybe 54-1 but he knew when the risk was no longer worth it. But a fighter like Loma he wants to be a warrior so bad he just could not bring himself to pull out of a fight. What would his fans think if he pulled out. It's a problem that's not going away. The pride of a fighter to never back down from a fight, but in Loma's case I just wonder what has been going on in the last 14 months, if the shoulder was a problem after Linares why didn't it heal since then? What has he ben doing. So many questions unanswered.

I think there's a difference between having an injury at 23 and 32 tho.. Especially a recurring injury which it clearly is.. this is twice now Loma has been in for shoulder surgery, I'm not seen any reports of Lopez going in for surgery. I don't think loma would have won either way though, because those two judges were clearly determined to score most of the rounds for Lopez regardless. I can't see a rematch happening either to be honest because Lopez is clearly already busting at the weight.

My problem is not as much with loma but with his overzealous fans who laughed and mocked other fighters who after they lost they made excuses about injuries and had surgery but now this injury is legit and obviously Lopez doesn't deserve credit and if not for the injury loma schools Lopez. I hate that type of mindset and hypocrisy. They want to pick and choose which fighters to give a pass to when it suits their agenda but It doesn't work like that if you want to be taken seriously here.

It's concerning that he's had to have a second surgery on the shoulder. At this point shoulder problems seem to derailing his career.

So it was rigged for Lopez to win?

Oh 100% what I can't stand even more than that is the neverending claims of judging corruption every time their favorite fighter loses. And in this case, it's an injury AND claims of corrupt judging on top of that. If a guy is fighting injured, the chances of him winning are severely reduced. I mean people make fun of Haye's toe, and rightfully so, but there's no doubt in my mind that was a legit injury, his toe was messed up and he couldn't plant on that foot. Now imagine if Haye's fans tried to argue he still won. His mobility was clearly reduced vs Wlad. He couldn't do his normal work. But when watching it live we had no idea there was anything wrong with him. That was why when Pac argued he beat Mayweather it was like what. But when we find out he was injured (true or false) it makes the argument that he won even harder to believe.

I'm a fan of Loma, he's an incredible talent and I'm upset how the shoulder problems seem to be derailing his career. And I guess you can't really blame his fans for bringing up the shoulder injury, it does appear to be legit. Who were Loma fans mocking and laughing at for getting injured and making excuses? If they did that, shame on them, and now they're getting a taste of what that feels like, but for me I just can't stand hearing about injuries after watching a fight. All I want to see is a fight with no excuses and may the better man win. So any time there's an injury that we hear about after the fight, it's a huge let down. And really it doesn't matter if the fighter brings it up or if we find out about it after the fact.

Heard rumor that shoulder got injured while counting rounds he thinks he's won. You see sLomo can only count with very large hand gestures and things were fine till 'four', but when he said 'five' his hands would refuse to move, so he shouted "FIVE I SAID" and forced them, and torn his shoulder.

Hypothetical scenario. Spence reveals an injury after the Garcia fight (danny)

The way you said things right now you sounded under standing of a fighter . so you would believe spences injury? Or would you call it an excuse because you have an agenda

I see, with Wilder I thought it was just mocking him for using the entrance costume as the excuse. And with Haye with the toe I can understand, lets face it, that was mock-worthy. And against Bellew, the first time especially, the way Haye handled that was worthy of criticism. He was pretty much talking all kinds of smack on Bellew and making it seem like Bellew wasn't even in his league then well you know the rest.

So I can understand people mocking Wilder (for the costume and using it as an excuse) - I wouldn't call that an injury, if that's what you were referring to. And Haye kind of deserves some mockery for the Toe and the smack talking vs Bellew then being humbled.

For me the problem isn't specifcally with Loma fans, but the fact that many Loma fans are also GGG fans and continue to claim judging conspiracies every time their fighter loses.
