So, looks like Gatti will be the featured boxer on next season's "Pros vs Joes"...

some white dude, former b-ball player, roy took it very well, even laughed with him. but he got his revenge in the ring lol. he was raggin' on jones talking about how he lost a lot of money on him on the 2nd tarver fight (in a playful manner, obviously - they have little interview segments before each challenge where the joes hype themselves up and talk a little smack, then the camera pans to the pros and films their reaction...you know, same old reality tv induced pseudo-drama). keep in mind that the joes aren't necessarily fat ****s, they're athletic-average people (high school and 2nd/3rd tier college level athletes...well, at least one point during their lives lol). and everyone roy boxed during the challenge was well over 200lbs and i believe all of them were taller than him also.

when roy did the show, he was shoe-shining the whole time, carefully throwing his shots, and always fighting off the backfoot but he still managed to drop the big guys on several occassions. i don't know if it's just video editing or not, but the new commercial with gatti just looks brutal. he wasn't going easy on them at all, and gatti looked so much bigger than his normal fighting weight (obviously since he's retired, he didn't have to do any cutting). it's almost as if they signed a contract waiving any lawsuits even if they get a brutal beating.

    No.

But what happened was they got in the cage with Couture and the person who taps the least for 2 minutes wins, most of them tapped 20 or more times in that time period and Couture of course was just messing about. One of them was a bit of an ego for being an army hand to hand combat instructor supposedly.

However, Couture made his end look a bit more convincing than they had Jones do, so I hope Gatti evens that up.

What was funny though was the other 'Pros' who were petrified of getting in the cage!
