From what I've seen of Froch I don't think he's ready for Taylor. He looks too slow and deliberate in his punching form and leaves himself too open. He needs to add some shorter punches and work on his speed and that's a lot to ask of someone at this stage.
It might not matter if he can take the punishment, walk Taylor down and KO him...but can he? No one knows. We don't even know whether he can get past Pascal, and even if he does, what would he have proved? We'll only know by looking at each of their performances on the night, I guess...it might turn out to be less than we might hope...:conf
You may think so, but Taylor himself isn't so sure. Remember he refused the offer to fight Froch for the vacant title, prefering to fight Lacy instead for no title
This thread really took off!:nut Lacy is a no brainer for Taylor, he needed an easy win and boucne back fight from being KTFO by pavlik. Lacy was taylor made, get it? An 11-1 decision and a full on beating of a top 15 smw is what taylor needed. So people are disputing that the USA has the most top smw fighters than any other country? Lets see a top 15 from anyone with a brain and count up the top players. Plain to see the results. Andrade has lived in california almost his whole life. If you want to live in my country you had better respect it or get the **** out. Like sam peter or casamayor. If you dont want to be a USA citizen then gtfo and go back to your pissant country. Maskaev is the perfect example. And now Kessler wants to move to the USA? I dont blame him but wtf, stay in your country. I can see him now, umm southern california or ****ing denmark? Pretty easy decision.
I just read that Dibella says if Pascal beats Froch, Taylor/Pascal in Montreal is a smart fight to make. He also said that Froch isn't a big enough name to make money in the USA, and he won't let JT go to Great Britian. Froch is completely unkown in the US. He is completely untested. He gets a lot of hype on the internet, but the guy isn't ready to run with the big dogs, so he best just stay on the porch with the pups. Taylor needs Kessler not Froch, but I think JT should fight one more fight at 168 before he tries mikkel on for size.
froch would be a good start...take his "O" and his belt then fight Kessler to unify (if he beats pascal, if not, go for pascal....
Ontario? Toronto, maybe? Pascal fights out of neighbouring Quebec (Montreal) though...would the American fans travel to Toronto? The Montreal fans would... ...interesting that Pascal is the preferred choice, business wise...I know Froch doesn't have many fans, but some Brits would come to see him fight and the fight would be very big here in Britain...
You know nothing about everything. Froch has as good if not better one punch power than Pavlik and Taylor got done there. We will see. Seriously, I'm not sure if I have seen a post from you that is not biased, small minded crap.
If Froch beats Pascal, will Taylor just ignore the WBC belt?. How will we know if Froch's ready to run with the Big Dog's if he's kept tied up to a tree coz no-one wants to risk playing with him in case he bites.
My bad -- Dibella was talking about JT fighting Pascal in his own back yard, where the hell ever that is:hey Dibella's disdain for Froch seems a little bit personal. Like Lou just doesn't like the way Froch runs off at the mouth.
Ignore the WBC? Hard to say, but the champ makes the title, and WBA titlist Mikkell Kessler is generally regarded as THE CHAMP at 168. If Froch beats Pascal, and I think he will, he should try to get some fights on HBO. Let him go after Inkin and Bute.
**** if I would travel to montreal in winter again. I've done that before and i dont need to see the Polar Ice cap again! those of you who have seen pascal? how is he as a fighter? Taylor is already a name in the usa, he can sell a fight here in the states.
