both guys looked **** in their comeback fights since they fought in September 2013, they've obviously taken something out of each other, but give credit where it's due to the underdogs Herrera and Molina for making the betting favorites work hard to win

 

unfortunately fanboyism is a big reason some great fighters like Floyd, Pac Kovalev, GGG Lucas, Danny and many others are hated on these boards

 

Yup, they fought a valiant fight.

But let's not pretend beating John Molina is some special feat.

Lucas got the job done, very good for him, but it wasn't a huge win. It's a fight that was obviously given to Matthysse to simply look good for the fans. Does nothing for him in terms of legacy at all.

 

Lucas has come back...ward. All jokes aside I like Lucas but thought he didn't look so good in "comeback" fight. Lucas allowing so many bombs dropped on him tells me something may have changed in him. It's not like this guy was setting up his shots behind even semi capable boxing, it was just a haymaker thrown here and there that Lucas failed to avoid. Unlike Danny who's opponent it's hard to look good against, as hit and not be hit is the name of his game and he had been shown to be very good at it against quality opposition.

 

MVC has an odd hatred of Lucas.
