So i had my first "m1" experience a few days ago...
the screaming lady from pride was there , the white ring , some ex pride fc staff members... i didn't pay too much attention about the "rules" though..

are they identical ? (stomps , soccer kicks allowed ? )....

Now , if M1 can bring us fans solid match ups , it's gonna be awesome...
Hope we'll soon have fed vs barnett or couture or another top , experienced mma fighter.

i don't know how successful this M1 show was in japan , but maybe it has a potential to eventually become something big.

Yeah I felt like I was watching pride too. I think the rules are pretty similar but not sure....

That wasn't really M1, that was an independent one off show, called Yarenokka. It was organized by former Pride staff and they were given assistance by M1 employees

M1 hasn't had their official first event yet, who knows if they'll have the same format as Pride, I suspect all Japanese events will resemble old Pride as they'll just employ the old Pride stage crew, announcers, referee's.

M1 may look completley different when they hold shows in the US or Europe as they'll employ different people.

Also the rules were Unified American rules, so no soccer kicks, stomps or knees to the head of a grounded opponent. No elbows either.
I think M1 did this so they can be allowed to have events in America in the future.

So the rules of that event were basically a gimped more restrictive version of Pride and UFC rules.
