Upon hearing Biggie's Playa Hater song, the first thing that it remind me of was www.eastsideboxing.com. So many boxers get hated on so much on this forum it makes one ponder on the psychology of sport fans. Maybe its the old-boxing blood where it was and still is popular to dis the opponent and vaingloriously praise oneself (Ali, Tyson). There are many boxers that one can criticize, I dont get the hate though. I just read the thread on Vitali, one of the nicest people one can meet (close friends with Muhammad Ali, his daughter, Larry Merchant, and many others who met the brothers had some of the nicest things to say about them. I met them twice, and these guys in the freezing winds were having converstions with everyone aroud (3 years ago in NYC by Ukrainian Church) and taking pics for almost an hour.) Yet so much hate was put against him. But then there are many others. I dont know. What you think? Is it the fanatics here that pretend to represent the boxers that we begin to hate them so, or what? or something else? I dont know. Maybe Biggie knows, so quoting him here it goes: "**** all you hoes"
I Agree but do you ever notice that the hate intensifies the better your fighter is? BTW, I sponsored my company's a party at that Ukranian church on the Manhattan east side in 1999
Anyone who criticizes anything or ant portion of any sport is a hater?? :nono Conversely, for every hater, theres a hugger:good This whole hugging/hating BS is just that. Appreciate the sport, speak you're mind, and let the chips fall where they may. I'm sure SRR had haters, I know SRL had haters, what the **** do they matter now??? Facts speak for themselves!! Current fighters should take the actions they can control and give a **** what "they" say. In the end?? Proof is in the ring, and respect is earned not given:happy
Yeah we could only pray for the old days to come back, were is all the tough heavywieghts at. Thats why I liked Lamon Brewster so much he reminded me of fighters back in the old days, the ones that could take a beating and keep fighting not like some of fighters we have today.
