Marquez was bound to become more demotivated after his brother was beaten but in the meantime, has would have been even more motivated to avenge his loss. Pacquiao doesn't have time to become even more motivated after his brother's loss...does he? This is bound to depress him a bit before the fight...no? Anyone know in how many hours the weigh-in will be?
I dont think it will affect them...they have their own fights to think of. If it did, im sure they'd want to perform better.
Man, Decebal, you better check yourself in the mirror if it's me or not... 30 seconds the difference and the very same thread opened... LOL
It's a good point because this is bound to have an effect on their morale and focuss, especially on Pac's.
if this would affect how they perform, jmm should be the one more pissed because his brother was winning coming in the 12th and because his brother is actually worth something. pac will take bobby's loss in stride because he was never really good to begin with. with that said, i don't think they will be affected. they have too much to fight for already
you think so? anyway, i respect that. but i do not agree with it. if i know my brother is not good and he keeps losing, i won't really be affected because, well, he is not that good. put it this way, if rafa and bobby lost on the same night against opponents of the same class, it will affect jmm more than pac because rafa is better. in 2006 bobby lost to velasquez and two days after, pac morales in 3 rounds. this is the reason why i don't think he is affected at all. pac is too focused when he is pumped for a fight.
Forget about Pac brother, we know pretty well that his record was not that good enough. Pac was the opposite of bobby and his fight with JMM is totally different from the first. Pac will be more motivated and win the fight.
hmm... his bro's loss will probably further enhance pac's focus for this fight just like it did in the third fight w/ morales.
As neither brother had any long term injuries after the fights, I do not think it will have any impact on them. Obviously everyone wants their friends and families to do well in life, but we we like boxers get to work, we focus on the job at hand and forget about our families.
If either of their brothers had died or something like that then probably. But their brother losing a boxing match shouldn't affect veterans like Marquez or Pacquiao in the slightest. If anything they should understand better than anyone about what the sport is all about and how things happen.
I think it will not effect PAC but it will become inspiration for him coz he must give some $$$$$$$ for his brother...
