Floyd couldn't take that size of a risk in promoting his own fight. He may have to pay 50 million plus upfront then what if Maidana gets injured the night before the fight and it gets cancelled?!!

Just pay so end else a couple of million to do all the work and you sit back and cash in. Most fighters pay 20-30% promotional fees so 2.5 million is easy money.
