seriously wtf HOW??? Crolla isnt a big name in this country and now hes fighting Morales???? i suppose he must be cheap and they cant afford other fighters for Morales. Im a big fan of Crolla so best of luck to him. As long as he puts up a decent show which i think he will itll be a win-win fight for him

Good fight for Crolla really. No lose situation for him. He'll do okay as well because Maidana helped Morales by blowing his load in about 5 rounds and clearly didn't train very well.

If Crolla wins- fanbase grows massively and so does his stature in world boxing
If Crolla loses- He comes back at same level as now and builds his way up.

Win. Win. Not as if Morales has concussive power at these weights anyway so good luck to Anthony!

This is a hard fight to judge.

Willie Limond was putting on a clinic on Morales in the early rounds before getting knocked out, then Erik does fairly well against a much bigger, 10x harder puncher in Maidana.

Morales should win, but I wouldn't be surprised if Crolla did well early.

This is great exposure for him, by the way.

I'm a big fan of Crolla / Joe G but wasnt Joe saying a couple of months back that there's no way he'd let Anthony fight a big LW let alone a LWW? Said something about having to explain to his mother if he got badly hurt etc.

Now he's putting him in with one of the best of the last 20 years?!

It's a great opportunity but to go from having health concerns to not seems a bit strange..

Expect Morales to take this quite easily, but this match up is intriguing and will make at least the under card interesting.

This is what I love about Crolla. Willing to go places, a bit old school, and gain experience.

He is an underdog, but he brings a lot of pressure to the table, which old man Morales might find difficult.

Who knows even if Anthony loses, if he puts up a gallant effort, he could make a name for himself in the USA.

Win - Win for Anthony. Tough fight yes, but i can see Anthony getting to old man Morales especially with his non stop compact style, and his improved body punching, that with the relentless pace Anthony set's, Morales may suffer late on, and it's not gonna be at 140lbs it's more of a catchweight at around 136-138lbs, so even though the odd's look against Crolla, i don't think it will be that straight forward, i'm hoping so anyway. I remember talking to Joe Gallagher in the gym and him mentioning that he would of loved this fight for John Murray, this was about 12months ago, so maybe he fancy's his got the tatic's to beat Morales. Anthony's a gentleman, and greatly improved fighter, i really thinks he deserve's this chance, and i wish him all the best.

Win win situation, as with many of these Brits fighting abroad. If you win your name is greatly enhanced and you get a fancy title. If you lose, so long as you put in a good performance, your name is greatly enhanced and you get a good pay day.

Sure, Crolla's probably going to get stopped like Limmond did (although obviously they're very different fighters) but the kudos he'll get for taking on such a ballsy challenge will be priceless. Plus the exposure internationally, and the fact he gets to be known as the plucky underdog who really took the fight to a hardened Mexican legend.

Plus who knows? Maybe he might get lucky? Maybe Crolla's a dark horse and is better than his fights so far have been able to show us? Chances are though he's a good prospect who isn't quite ready yet to be taking on a fighter of this caliber.

hopefully someone puts you in your place. Crolla's possibly the nicest lad you'd ever meet in the sport.

Crolla to stop morales within 9 :deal
