That's right. Like I said, Cleverly has 8 stoppages in his last 9 fights. The reason he doesn't have more is because he was trained by Calzaghe, he wasn't fully grown and he was only a part time fighter.

Now that he's dedicated and training hard, the stoppages have started coming. You can't fault 8/9 against good opposition.

    Ward
    Hopkins
    Dawson
    Dirrell
    Cloud
    Donaire (US citizen)
    Bradley
    Ortiz
    Judah
    etc., etc.
The Brits have who, exactly? Haye? LMFAO.

I think he's slightly embarrassed at saying "sparked" then defending that comment whilst no realizing what it meant ;)

Britain have far more champions than America, pound for pound.

Before questioning my knowledge on degale I suggest you do 2 things:

    1) watch each of his pro fights like I have done.

    2) listen to the post fight interview where his own promoter frank warren said the same. Degale himself said, to paraphrase "i did what I needed I didn't wanna make any mistakes". It was clear who the bigger, stronger man was in that ring. Degale hurt groves at one point and mashed his face up, yet it was groves who fought like a man, showed heart and determination and won the fight.

As an aside, did you watch dawson v diaconu? What did you think of his attitude throughout the fight?

The thing is if we even have a comparable number of champions to them it's embarrassing for them, after all they outnumber us by about what?? 5-1 :rofl:rofl:rofl

so they should have 5 top fighters for every 1 we have........

What, alphabet titles? Froch deserves respect, but Britain isn't even a presence in the top-10 pfp rankings.

I think MichiganWarrior dislikes Cleverly because of the fact he has a degree in maths whereas Detroit, Michigan's largest city, has a 47% illiteracy rate.

    Ouch.

A pound for pound list is down to opinion and, in all honesty, there's a lot of bias too.

Safe to say neither Cleverly nor Degale are what they will become.

What will they become? Who knows, we'll have to wait and see.

I don't know, I haven't done one in a while. I base it off resumes though and Froch's is clearly superior to Ward's.
