From 130-154 Floyd has ruled boxing! Dude had been p4p #1 for over 10 years. To go with that many of you light up these boards with Floyd ducked this guy or that guy. I find it funny that no one ever speaks or mentions fighters who duck Floyd! Do you honestly think that fighters WANTED to face Mayweather at 130, 135, 140, 147, facing Floyd is a damn near guaranteed loss! He's faster than you, smarter than you, sharper than you, better defense than you, better training than you! The only fighter who seemed to really want to fight Floyd was Margarito. All those other names y'all bring up, Frietas, Casa, Tsyzu, Cotto, Hatton, Oscar, Shane, etc...none of them truly wanted to face Floyd, especially not prior to 2008. Floyd was high risk low reward at that time, the worse type of fighter to face. Genaro and Chico paid dearly for getting in the ring with him. By the time Floyd got to Gatti... Hatton, Cotto, Oscar and Shane knew better and delayed those bouts as much as they could! Floyd was with Top Rank, how can he duck? Bob Arum controls who he fights, he said Cotto wasn't ready for Floyd. Don't pretend that's not fact. Hatton himself said he wasn't ready. Shane had excuses and Oscar played the weight game.....only at 154. Floyd had all these *****es scared including Manny scared of needles Pacquiao. Freddie spent 2 or 3 years claiming Manny is not ready for Floyd yet! He's fascinated with Floyd's legs, finally in 2015 he Floyds legs have finally slowed enough for Manny to compete! Facts over Fantasy, I'm done! Advantage Mayweather
People say Floyd doesn't have a win over a prime ATG, but who, other than Pacquiao, would you call an ATG?
People have selective memory. People forget he wasn't always "Money May" and at one point struggled to sell out Small venues in Grand Rapids. Everyone who he fought late, could have fought him earlier but they were all bigger attractions than him. I don't see how people forget that, but it's easier to flat out hate Floyd than it is to Be objective and ****yze and research his actual history. He does come off brash and crude but that's his selling point and it comes with the territory, even if he doesn't really keep up that persona much these days.
Barrera is not an ATG. Unless you consider guys ranked in the thousands an ATG. Morales is the only true elite he has on his resume. Ayala, Tapia, Hamed, McKinney are all good names, but not names that give you an ATG status.
