I'm ordering it, so that's at least 2 sales.

I also had Holyfield winning. Holyfield did a better job against Valuev than Haye, imo.

Yeah, I had Holy beating Valubum over 12 rds of public sparring in 2008. However, in the end, I felt Holy was gonna get butt-reamed.... Well, he did in Swissville.......

I actually thought Nick Valubum did enough pawing and forward progress against Dave Haye last year to possibly get the nod... BUT! By late 2009, the boxing world had grown tired and frustrated with the one dimensional Nick Valubum.... He had to go....... Ridding us of Valubum was a politically correct move on the part of the judges.....

    Ice,

I was figuring around $19.95 would be the asking price here.... But I will not back down at $29.95..... 30 bucks is my limit since my funds are tight......
    :hey
I also have a pint of Kentucky whiskey on reserve for tonight. I expect to be humming pretty good by the time the main event occurs.....

Christ, my kin folks paid 60 bucks for satellite PPV of the "Hops-Jones 2" bout last week......... Now that was friggin' too steep of a slop for that event......

I wonder what the final tally of the PPV sales were there.?.?

At least they look like bad dudes. Both men always train very hard. I think the fight might just be quite okay. Holyfield vs Savarese, Bates and Maddalone were decent scraps. I'll be watching this one.

Why do you think Botha is delusional? It looks like just likes fighting, and since his health is OK I see no reason why he shouldn't keep doing it. Holyfield, while still better than his recent opposition, is not completely out of his reach, and he (Botha) makes relatively good money out of the fight. Even if he loses, it changes nothing in his career, and if he somehow wins it may get him one more payday. He is not the one claiming to be on quest to unify all titles after 50.

BTW, while I wouldn't pay anything close for 30 bucks for it, I still agree it is much better investment than paying 50 (or 60) for Hopkins-RJJ II.

I'm all for Botha fighting....... However, Botha has never won a "HUGE" fight before......... And, whether or not this fight bombs at the theater and box-office, its still a huge fight for both men in 2010....... Both reps are on the line......

    Botha is shot.

It will be sad seeing him in the ring.

I don't know, Botha looked terrible in his last fight but better in the one before that vs Hoffman.

I think he is just incapable of fighting in anything other than very brief spurts (which is really Holyfield's M.O. these days too).

Still, I am interested in this one, the result at least. Holyfield-Savarese was too old codgers but turned out to be arguably the most entertaining heavyweight bout of 2007 - which also said a ton about the heavyweight fights in '07, I admit.

Unlike Hopkins-RJJ, I actually have little doubt that both Holyfield and Botha will be trying their hardest to win even if their weapons to do so are faded these days. That effort should at least make it a watchable bout.

Holyfield UD. Perhaps TKO if he can put enough shots together, Botha's usually a durable type (Tyson and Lewis the exceptions but so was their power) and you need to grind him down a la Moorer and Wladimir usually.
