Belts are pretty but they don't make money and if he has to fight a JRock or Harrison he will get no better than a 50/50 split as per IBF rules and they are not cash cows so the fights would not appeal commercially. These guys are much better than Jojo, Kev and Frankie! Also they are smaller names than Spence and he gets 75-25 against him, arguably easier fights though I guess.
Beltless wonder Khan hasn't been a world champion in half a decade and has never won a title at 147 and yet he claims that he deserves a 70/30 split in his favour? WTF. He may as well come out dressed as Donald Duck saying "I never want to fight Kell Brook."
I didn't claim any source nor did I admit any truth but its obvious Brook isn't fighting Spence or Khan, who else is he going to fight? Eggington is his only option now!!!! Eggington is the right risk for the right return, he is a standard Brook calibre opponent. Khan has been eyeing up Vargas for a few months if you had been paying attention.
Ok I get what you're saying now. Lol, you know boxing fans are triggered with PTSD over may/pac and other fights going down the drain. Yeah, this makes too much sense.
Brook has fought terrible opponents since he beat Porter excluding GGG If Khan fights vargas he is probably trying to get Arum to discuss pac & Bradley with him
Well he's actually won a title at 147. He recently sold out the 02 and sold a decent amount of PPVs. He's a popular and well known name in Britain and also represents Khan's biggest payday by a long shot. Not to mention the fact he's thought of by many as the better chinned, harder hitting boxer who'd prob lay Khan out. See the prob for your boy is that he's done so much talking that he's terrified of being made to look a fool when Brook catches up to him. Thus, he's trying to ensure that the fight never happens. Unfortunately for him the shame of his ducking means that he might have to for his own sense of pride.
I know of the Khan-Vargas talks, but personally I don't think Khan even wants that fight. He's just trying to create options to get a better deal against Brook, or (dreaming) getting a Pacquaio fight. Vargas is a risky fight given the state of Khan's chin and there isn't much money either. Let's see, personally I doubt we'll see Brook-Eggington next. There's not enough money in it to pay Spence's step-aside fee.
Vargas is far less of a risk than many of the guys Khan has beaten, Vargas will just be considered a cherry pick after the fact. Khan definitely doesn't want Brook next, he wants him to be a bit battered and even more drained so waiting another 12 months will be a great move. 70-30 now for a very hard fight or 60-40 at the end of the year for a slightly easier fight, sounds like a good move to me Brook vs Eggington will be at 154!!!!
