Sure Manny has already beaten Miguel... AT 145! Since then, Miguel has gone up to a more comfortable weight, won a title, and defended it. Floyd is fighting a champ (at his weight). Who was Miguel when Manny fought him..? This is a legit fight.

 

The only difference is that Floyd is beating his live opponents (coming from a wining-streak) in the ring instead of beating dehydrated opponents (coming from bad showings) on the scales.

 

Margacheato broke Cotto's spirit and then Manny fought a husk of Cotto at a draining catchweight (with no real trainer installed and no gameplan).

Floyd fights Cotto at his natural weight and with a new corner and new vigour. Hardly leftovers you chump.

this fight got signed alittle too late but im glad that it is happening atleast. It will be a downgraded version of what would have happened 3 years ago since Cotto hasnt looked as good as he did once @ 140Lbs.

 

I'm a fan of this fight, but this logic is weird. So, Margo beats the hell out of Cotto, then Cotto squeaks by Clottey, gets beat to hell again by Pac, moves up and fights a soft touch in Yuri, a crude brawler in Mayorga and then a (what most consider a broken/injured fighter) in Margo. And you're saying that he is reinvigorated and rejuvenated?

I'm no fan of the catchweight that Pac imposed, but it was 1 pound less then he weighed in for the Clottey fight, and I believe he mentioned that he didn't have trouble making the weight.
