what i m trying to say is- in your language, even though mj was the best player, had the best teammate , the best rebounder, the best coach, was a better player than barkley, malone, ewing, robinson, olajuwon, magic, isiah- beating them was still something, he still had to beat them to prove it no? it still took amazing accomplishment to do it- even though he was the favourite, the pacquiao , and the other players and teams were margaritos, we still give him respect for doing it , no?

i think, yeah pacquaio was the favourite- but he s the favourite for a reason, cos he s ****ing amazing. when was the last time- a guy 3 divisions smaller than another man, 16 pounds, and 5 inches, was a favourite over another fighter. he was the favourite- but to become the favourite- and for people to say a welter against a super middleweiight - was a mismatch for the welter- takes some amazing things to go on esse.

oh no doubt....and dont take this as me not giving Pac full credit for whooping Marg's ass.....Pac is posibly the greatest this generation in terms of skill and he went out there and showed us why and did it in extraordinary fashion.....however....this is what you expect from him against a fighter who' SOLE and ONLY advantages was size....EVERYTHING else was HUGE advantages for Pac....so although i rate the performance very high.....the actual match-up does nothing for me or for Pac in that matter.

I still don't think Manny would beat Floyd. Everyone knew Manny would whip Marg, the out come to this fight is no surprise. Floyd has more speed, defense, intellect and skill in the ring compared to Margarito. The significance and accomplishment of this fight, is Pac capturing his 8th title and nothing more.

I found it hilarious when Margo landed a triple jab on pacman i was in stutches and he snapped his head back plenty of times.

    Congrats to pacman.

can one imagine how far pacs meat head would snap back if floyd hit him with the ones he landed on shane throughou the fight.

floyd tko 11 its up to him whether or not he pursures the ko late or schools him.

First of all, both of them punches Floyd was off balance, he wasn't nearly "dropped" or hurt by either of them, simple off balance.

The quote you said "Pac is a great, complete fighter who is fighting guys who are in the shape of their lives" was that meant to be sarcastic?

i dont know about the too afraid part but this is why i give Pac creidt...its one thing to KNOW yea this should be an easy win for him....its another to go do it.

In this regards you have to give Pac all the creidt he deserves because we can look at fights on paper and say yea well this guy should win but to prove it just lays it all out there....much respect to Pac even though i still have my sentiments about the opponenets he is facing...yet you cant penalize Pac for being so good.

What is clear is that this fight needs to be made. I really can't see Mayweather's defensive skills completely nullifying Pac for 12 rounds and I can't see Pac chasing Floyd without taking some punishment along the way. They both bring so many intangibles with them that I don't think any result would surprise me (except maybe Mayweather KO1!)

What is also clear is that if they never fight, Pac will be generally seen as the 'better' fighter for his accomplishments alone. Floyd has it in his hands to remedy that.

there is really much in pac vs. margo to suggest how a fight with pac vs, mayweather would go. margo as expected, was too slow to have chance in that fight.

pac still has never seen defensive wizard like mayweather. and likewise mayweather has never seen an offensive tactician like pac. that was the case before and after pac beating margo.

I suspect that Mayweather's punch resistance will be tested early.

I also suspect that he will fail the test.

I've said it for the last two years, and I haven't seen anything recently that would make me change my mind: Mayweather UD.

Actually, scrub that. My first bet would be that this fight never takes place. But, assuming it does, Mayweather UD -- not wide, though; narrow to middling: 7-5, 8-4, 9-3, somewhere in there.
