They're called easier fights to build confidence and hype.

They were nothing fights really, not to mention they weren't even PPV level.

When you're fighting only twice a year in your twilight, those are fights Pacquiao can't afford to waste any of what he has left on. (You remember Oscar cherry-picking a certain super-featherweight at the same stage in his career?) :yep

Pacquiao does not need to do that, he's not a young pup who needs to build himself back up. We know what he is, we know what he can do/still do.

Belts are meaningless. Pacquiao is not a contender, he is still the man, or atleast one of the two main men at 147 everyone is chasing. Those guys like Alexander, Malignaggi, Bailey, Berthoe, Brook, Zaveck, etc.. need to be fighting each other if they want to create fan demand for a Pacquiao fight.

Bradley rematch won't happen next obviously because of the threat of a backlash with the robbery fresh on everyone's mind, and their fight not having been competitive enough to gaurantee people will be enticed in buying it again.

he didn't lose to John? He didn't lose every round to Floyd? Has he fought beaten anyone great or Hall of Fame in 5 years?

Age is catching up with JMM

I don't want to see him lose legit to PAC now due to it and him have an unfair official head to head record of 1 draw and 3 defeats.

I like this fight but I bet pac is done fighting young hungry lions. He's going back to fighting older fighters with mileage on them.

His "loss" to John is as legit as Hearns' "draw" with Leonard in the 2nd fight.
