So Pacquiao Algieri was fine, but Khan Algieri is a disgraceful cherrypick?

Pacquiao fighting Algiere who's coming from a big win over Provo.

Khan fighting Algiere who's coming from devastating loss to Pacquiao.

    Big difference.

Guerrero had moments of success vs Floyd, won 2-3 rounds

Algieri showed nothing, he had heart to get to the final bell but was very out classed

I think Algieri at 140 is an interesting match up for several guys

Vs Khan it's too predictable and given the options

I know I'm critical of him losing to Manny but the fight to me writes on the wall, he can't beat a guy who is fast

Likewise, Guerrero didnt show much at all, he may have won a couple of round but was still thoroughly outclassed, too.

Apart from, Chris Algieri, who was available? I can only think of Gavin and Brook. Those are both big domestic fights that'll always be hard to negotiate. Hearn has tried and failed to secure a big domestic fight for Quigg, Degale and Brook. Had it just been Brook then I could understand the antipathy towards the Algieri fight, but both Groves and the McGuigan's have come out and said Eddie is being greedy and overstating the value of his fighters. So it comes as no surprise that the Khan fight hasn't been made especially with egos on either side at play.

I'm interested in Khan vs Algeiri because aside from MAB which was non-comparable, it will be the first common opponent Khan would have had with May/Pac. Which to me is a good measuring stick.

As for the TS question...well Algeiri was coming off a win against Provodnikov and many thought he may be too tall, rangy and too much of a runner for the short Pac. Stylistically he had some advantages over Pac. Now we seen what he looks like against Pac, a taller version of Pac in Khan (who has fast hands and combinations) is assumed to have no trouble at all.

    Its common sense.

Khan also has common opponents in Maidana and Judah.

I like Khan but this fight sucks. Big Pac fan too but was super disappointed when he fought Algeiri

Oh yea forgot about them. Ye, Khan outclasses Malignagi, he wont even have that big range advantage over Khan as he did on Pac. Not sure if Khan can put him down though.

Pacquiao fighting Chris was never good..

Khan fighting Chris after Pacquiao smacked him around is exponentially worse, Especially for someone (khan) who's been eyeing a shot at the top dogs for a while now.. given that he has A LOT of better options (Timmy, Thurman and BROOK, Especially BROOK)

The only people who thought Pacquiao vs Algieri was acceptable were hardcore Pacquiao fans who worship the guy. Pacquiao can fight an unranked guy at 147, and his hero worshiping fans will support it.

Yes and Pac chose Algieri because he was ducking Mayweather. Simple as that.
