So Pacquiao is going to use "Marquez 4" as the "next" excuse. Arum cashing out!

So I was over at the scene yesterday, and it looks like all is almost a go for a Pacquiao-Marquez 4 fight. It is clear as day (more so now than ever) that Team Pacquiao is making ever excuse not to fight.

Floyd called Manny Pacquiao out, the week of the Pacquiao-Marquez 3 fight. Arum claimed he was "trying to steal Pacquiao's shine," but that was exposed as weak. After that fight, and Pacuiao "losing" but still getting the "win," because of Arum's checkbook, they told Slater (without the mullet these days) that they would pursue a 4th fight with Marquez for May. Well if Floyd was only trying to "steal Pacquiao's shine" that week, he woulda stopped calling Pacquiao out after the week was over; he didn't.

Pacquiao agreed to the tests, but started using "Marquez 4" as an excuse not to fight, thus Pacquiao, not Mayweather, made the "next excuse." When JMM priced himself out at the time ($25,000,000) they went on to pursue negotiations with Cotto (so 2 more excuses not to fight, after agreeing to tests). Arum found that Cotto was also in negotiations with Mayweather and he couldn't match the deal (or come anywhere close to it because Team Pacquiao does not produce nearly as much revenue as Floyd), they purusued other options.

In the mean time Floyd was pretty much doing everything he could to make the fight. He even contacted Pacquiao to make the fight, but Pacquiao would not accept the biggest payday of his career ($40 million). So Floyd pursued other options thus we have Mayweather-Cotto. A Cotto who is coming in at 154, and he won't have to drain and not eat for 2 1/2 days before the weigh in (something that would effect any boxer and/or man physically).

Manny Pacquiao and his team are now looking at Marquez 4 for November, but if I remember right, Arum has said numerous times that they wanted to fight Floyd in November in an outdoor temporary stadium that seats 40-50 thousand people. It is clear as day, as it was when Pacquiao ducked Floyd a few years ago when he went and fought Joshua Clottey, that Pacquiao and his team never wanted this fight. They are scared and would rather fight a guy Floyd already beat convincingly in one fight, a 4th time...

Team Pacquiao is hurting the sport of boxing.

To those who say, "Oh well it would be Floyd's biggest payday too." Floyd will get his biggest payday and break the "purse" record for highest payday with Cotto, so that doesn't hold up.

To those who say "well Floyd getting 100 percent isn't fair." Irrelevant; Pacquiao would make $40 million, and this would be double his highest payday (with revenue). Without revenue Pacquiao makes pennies for his fights. 7.5 million is not much when the next guy is getting much higher guarantee's.

So why all of a sudden, November is at the end of the tunnel, and Team Pacquiao is quick to run off and hide behind another opponent? Team Pacquiao should man up, accept the highest payday of their career's (Floyd already getting his highest payday with Cotto) and take the Floyd fight in November.

Team Pacquiao is very very scared of the style Floyd presents, as they will lose their ability to draw revenue, once Floyd fights and beats Manny.:deal

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

Come on Puga, that all you got?

ARUM fears Mayweather, he's fed most of his stars to Pacquaio, and knows that once Mayweather schools him; Top Rank is down the shitter.

i know you're more of a floyd fan. but honestly, would you believe this ******? pac probably made around $30M against jmm. would it be fair that pac is getting $40M while floyd would be making around $80M or more for a fight of this magnitude?

No Sir, I'm in the 50/50 split camp. Or 60/40 for the winner etc.

seriously, most floyd fans before has no issue with the split at 50/50 until floyd changed his mind about it.

people must realize that this is a 50/50 fight no matter how you slice it. we should get this fight going if both floyd and pac wins against their next opponent. **** floyd for pricing himself out and **** arum if he still wants pac to fight other TR fighters.

    you *****s are ******ed.

Floyd could have had his fight if he'd accepted the 45/55 winner split or just the 50/50. They'd do all your other demands, date venue testing etc.

It was all finally agreed, the fight was going to happen. Then out of nowhere floyd comes up with one more demand out of left field. No more 50/50, you ony get a guarantee and no ppv upside!!!!

I 100% blame foyd for us not getting to watch the fight we all want in May.

What the **** are you idiots talking about? Manny can't negotiate his own fights. He doesn't even have copies of his own ****ing contracts.

This fight is not happening in May bc Arum refused to negotiate. All this Floyd offered this or Manny offered this don't ****ing matter. Arum refused to answer the calls from Shaefer to start negotiations. "Why is Shaefer calling me?" All of the money and other issues could have been worked out in a negotiation but somebody didn't want to do that. Those are facts.

    I blame everyone,

the 50/50 deal should happen but only if it's a joint promotion, half the risk each, because of the lack of negotiations Floyd offered Pac a guarantee, if he accepted he would have been on a GBP/Mayweather Promotions card.

Would it surprise me if he fought Marquez next? not in the slightest,

what was schaeffer going to offer pac/arum anyway since floyd clearly would not accept 50-50 or 55-45?

  15. ya we really wanna see a 4th fight in a series where one guy hasnt even 1 of the previous 3.....

the fact that floyd blew out a 147 jmm and pac couldnt blow him out at any weight is a death knell......

if floyd hadnt fought jmm wed have prob seen this fight already......and if pac had blown out jmm wed prob be seeing it in may

after that performance by pac....arum turned his back and ran in the opposite direction....pretty ****in obvious from all the bull**** he talked.....you have to be blind to not see that
