what were talking about is 'NOW' not what happened in the 3rd negotiations even though Team Pacquiao is clearly to blame there.

What's happening now is ARUM IS NOT BUILDING THE "TEMPORARY STADIUM." He is using Marquez 4 to ***** out.

*******s just can't accept this..***gots should watch a new sport cuz they don't understand this one.

bob arum, not freddie roach, negotiates for pacquiao, then it's up to pac if he agrees to the terms or not.

in this instance it seems like pac took the lead, probly because of the many claims that arum is blocking this fight.

lo and behold, it was really floyd afterall that didn't want this fight.

Why does Pac always "take the lead" when he's not in front of media/public? Dude always has something to say when he gets back home but anytime a camera is in his face in the US it's talk to Arum. You don't find that odd? Especially when there's contradictions it's always his word thats wrong?

yeah canelo was being positioned by GBP yet *****s have no qualms with it yet when arum said marquez could be the next fight, *****s say that pac is ducking floyd.

*****s must first realize that floyd is pricing himself out of this fight.

For Floyd to make $80 million or more for this fight, it would basically need to bring in double the revenue that DLH-Mayweather did. There's no ****ing way in hell that's happening. You're full of ****. :nono

Bull****. Everything is up to Manny's promoter, Bob Arum. He's said so repeatedly himself. :deal

On the high end Floyd would probably make around 65 million. He isn't making 100 million off this fight. $40 million was a decent offer but it doesn't matter what Floyd and Manny talked about bc Manny doesn't negotiate his bouts. Arum does and Arum refused to negotiate and we all know that as boxing fans.

Now in regards to 50/50 or 55/45 we all as fans can agree that those splits are fair but businessmen don't look at it like that. Who gross more income in each bout? Who averages more PPV's? Those things matter and it all could have been worked out by Shaefer, Arum and the mediator. Hell they probably could have worked something out that had Manny making 50 million but we will never know. :deal

Based on a reasonable projection of $150 million in PPV revenue, the fighters should come away with somewhere around $82.5 million combined...

De La Hoya-Mayweather: $136,853,000 total PPV revenue, $77,000,000 total purse (fighters' combined purses = 56% of total PPV revenue).

Mayweather-Ortiz: $78,440,000 total PPV revenue, $42,500,000 total purse (fighters' combined purses = 54% of total PPV revenue).

so why would arum offer $45M or $50M fixed guarantee under the same terms that floyd offered pac if you think that they would get only $41M each (assuming a 50/50 split) if they fight?

coz arum and floyd knows better that this fight would earn more.

And on the other side of the coin, Floyd would also inevitably generate a career high payday against Pac.

There's been some projectionists who forecast a Pac-May fight to generate approximately 200m of revenue.

If such a figure were to to be met, Floyd's 40m offer to Pac would indeed be unreasonably low.

Even if Floyd were to take on all or most of the production and marketing costs, he would still wind up making a killing if Pac agreed to this proposal.
