...via Brian Kenney on ESPN's FNF.

The only reason (IMO) why Williams is making this move, is he honestly believes that No-one at 154lbs-160lbs could FATTEN his pockets like a potential fight vs the winner of Pacquaio/Mayweather.

Now the question is...who will Williams fight at 147lbs while waiting for this fight?

I know people are SCREAMING BERTO, BERTO, BERTO!!!! But Personally, I would like to see Shane Mosley back in the ring.

What did he do to deserve a fight with Pacquiao or Mayweather?

And why would he look for Mosley now, when guys like Dzinziruk are dying for a chance to fight him?

I never said that he DESERVED a fight with Pac or Floyd...I am saying he is "probably" thinking that maybe it's an opportunity for a better payday then fighting Dzinziruk.

And can you tell me what has Dzinziruk done to deserve a fight with Paull Williams. Here is a fighter that is 37-0 and the two most noticeable names on his resume are Santos and Joel Julio? And went the full 12 rounds with both of them...And didn't he just beat a Former KICKBOXER?.

I don't believe that Williams will fight at 147 again. regardless of what he says, I think this is pure posturing to keep his name out there.

Hes been inactive and has found a new promotor, so rightfully he was given a tune up fight. He still has a WBO-strap, why wouldn't Williams be interested, given the history coming from Sergiy, calling him out not once, not twice but three times.

This all jumping up and down is gonna hurt him sooner or later, he'll get stretched out ala RJJ.

Having a horrible defense doesn't help his case.

He's definitely ducking Dzinziruk by now... he could've fought him even if just to stay active, not to mention another belt and a good addition to a resume.. He should rematch either Martinez or Cintron, BOTH have expressed interest in rematches, but we all know Williams never give rematches unless he's the one that lost.... what a fu**ing, pathetic "pro" sportsman! Williams- go ahead and man-up... OR u can always go & look 4 the smaller guys @ 147!:yep:lol:

There's so many other fights at 160 and 154 for Paul. He'll waste his career waiting for Mayweather, Pacquiao, or Mosely-(honestly, that'd be horrible fight). Martinez, Angulo, Margarito, Martirosyan, Spinks, or even Lara would make great fights. I can't believe the Martinez rematch isn't being considered. He probably feels he got lucky to escape that fight with a win and that given a full training camp Martinez would take him.

He wants to be a bully. I'm starting not to like Williams. If you're so good then why not fight guys that are your size. He's just picking on smaller fighters imo. He should be fighting Chad Dawson, but instead he wants Pac(5'6) and Mayweather(5'8). He's 6'3 for goodness sake. The praying mantis gets no props from me unless it's 160 or above.

I made a thread on this subject after he went up to 160 to fight Andy Kolle and then back down to '47 again and got laughed at. People are delusional if they think he can keep doing this to his body for too long.
