No doubt...he is a very tough fighter with a hard style to overcome...he's bigger than most of his opponents at 147 and 154 and his punch output is very difficult to overcome.

But, i don't think he wants to tangle with Kirkland, Angulo, or even the speed and counterpunching of Yuri Foreman at 154...he might even have trouble with the athleticism of Kermit Cintron

By the way, I was one who felt that Sergio Martinez landed the more effective and more damaging shots during the above mentioned fight. I scored the fight 7rds to 5 in favor of the Argentine. Very tough fight to score though. I think that Sergio wins that fight more decisively at 154...he would be able to fight all 3 minutes of the round at 154...he looked severely winded at times during his first fight at 160 and looked considerably slower with the added weight at times.

Nobody but a fool would fight Williams while they still had signs of MRSA. Espino simply gave Pavlik time to heal. It was a wise move

Im not a Pavlik fan, I have to make this clear.

Why do people simply believe Pavlik pulled out of the Williams fight for no reason?

His injury was everywhere on 90% of boxing websites with 99% of the writers agreeing that his staph infection was serious.

The only reason he fought last night was due to the Alphabet bodies forcing him to fight or strip him.

Listen guys, you can fight a nobody like he did last at at 75% But you cant fight a p4p world class fighter like Williams at 75% Its suicide.

Williams has no business fighting Pavlik @160 , i said it way before Martinez and im still saying it , for all his technical definciancies (in comparison to Williams) Pavlik is a monster @160 and will blow holes in Williams , who lets be real lost against Martinez !!!!!!

Paul Williams workouts at my gym in DC I know for a fact pavlik dodged him. The only thing that ****s Paul and Me Peterson up is that all that promotion cost and they lost money. You still gotta pay your team for training. To be honest I think last minute pavlik wanted a tune up to build his confidence, I think he's ready now but Mr Peterson can't afford for Kelly to cancle on him again

Don't like Williams or Pavlik but this is an interesting match-up. Williams decision or Pavlik KO. I'll go with Williams on points.

Boxers are humanbeings . Not robots. I will lean more towards yes. Two of my favorites fighters. I like them both because of the style they bring ; is fun to watch. I expect a shootout between the two. I favor Williams in this one because I think he has more tools at his diposal. He can be better prepared than Pavlik.

Who knows if Williams will use those tools though.

If you don't know better then this is willful ignorance on your part. This board just gets worse and worse.

Bottom line. Paul will make 4 times as much against Pavlik as he did against Martinez. It is still the "money fight" for both men. After seeing what Martinez did to him they may be thinking it is time to cash out on Pdub. :yep

He admitted after the fight last night that the hand was a bit tender from the work. This isn't rocket science. Well, it is to many on THIS board. This is getting way beyond sad.

    Good post.

Bull ****. I know people from around Pavlik's camp and I KNOW Kelly didn't dodge him. Paul Williams drinks his own Kool-Aid. :deal
