So Pavlik's camp now talk about Pavlik-Hopkins II?

I think it has more to do with Abraham being a relative unknown in the US and less to do with any sort of KO risk. Arum threw Pavlik to the wolves against Hopkins, he'd do it again against Abraham if Abraham represented a substantial pay out.

Personally I think we're looking at 3 guys (Abraham, Sturm and Pavlik) who will control the MW scene for the next 2-4 years feasting on smaller names, outclassed oppositon and just flat out poor fighters while they gather recognition. I'd be shocked if any of the three ever faced off.

I'm pretty sure Abraham is ready to move to the US for this fight, he did it with Miranda who previously broke his jaw in Germany and already said he's ready to do it for Pavlik. I do agree that Sturm is taking the path of fighting complete unknowns and will continue to do so(Calzaghe style) till everyone is 55 years old then he'll make the move and retire "great". I don't see how Pavlik or Abraham will do that, they both want big fights and mention them, I just hope Pavlik doesn't take that route as I don't see Abraham taking it at all.

I don't have any doubts about Abraham moving for a fight. Problem is he would have to fight a few people to be worth the risk for Arum. Sad but true.

I had high hopes on this fight happening but much like Cotto/Floyd, Haye/Wlad, Dawson/Calzaghe and so and so forth...it looks like it's falling by the wayside for more "meaningful" fights.

    I hate boxing sometimes

I don't think Hopkins would want a rematch, how can he better the first fight. What would he gain from fighting him again. Pavlik needs to fight Abraham, Sturm or the winner of Wright and Williams. If he wants to go down as a great middle weight he needs to fight the best. I am still not convinced by him, he has great power but not great skills.

i think a lot depends on what kind of numbers pavlik`s PPV did last night as to his next opponent.

was pavlik on a fixed purse last night or was it tied to the PPV ?

How is this corruption? Palvlik fights for money. If you think you wouldn't do the same, you are lying to yourself. :deal

People do not give Arum credit for his promotional skills. IF, big IF, he pulls off what he said, Duddy (money), Sturm (unification), Abraham (unification) in that order, then he is nothing short of genius. This is what I heard him say in a live interview I attended.

I have never heard what the purse was for this fight. Just what the city's share of the income tax would be.

So it's all justifiable to you...The Locketts, the duddys those kind of fights are all fine as long as Kelly makes the most money?

    Welp...now we're seeing Arum's market.

According to Jack Loew the rematch would have to be @160, and i can't see Hopkins coming back down to fight someone he's already comprehensively beaten, Make's no sense.
    Watch about 2.50.
