So PBC can't provide Canelo a late replacement if Plant is injured, but Pac gets one, no problem?

You're still not getting it, I'm not bashing anyone for taking the fight for money.

Losing to Canelo will hurt Charlo's undefeated earning potential and he doesn't wanna take that risk without a chance to win and I'm sure he'll never fight a fight of this magnitude at short notice.

And Benavidez has made completely clear that he'll take a Canelo fight only with a full camp .

Who will Canelo team fight as a replacement then, Korobov?
Poor man is so snakebitten that he'll outbox Canelo for 4-5 rounds and then trip over his ankle and injure himself .

If things don't make sense with the data you have, the answer is often (usually, even) that there's more information you don't have that explains it.

Taking a position and then jumping all over anyone that tries to offer potential points that might possibly fit the gaps just strikes of driving agendas and not wanting to think about other possibilities.

There's plenty of possible answers here, you don't need to be so belligerent in pushing the double standards narrative.

No, you don't get it. Your argument is dead in the water.

Hell, Jermell Charlo lost to Tony Harrison and only made $750,000 for that fight.

How did that loss hurt Jermell Charlo's career? HOW?

Because last I checked, Jermell was fighting in a unification on PPV ... and he didn't even win that. But he's still sitting pretty.

So how in the HELL would fighting Canelo for $10 million and losing hurt his brother Jermall's career?

Give it a freaking rest already. Christ.

If losing to freaking Tony Harrison didn't derail his brother's career, losing to Canelo and making TEN TIMES THE MONEY certainly wouldn't "ruin" the other brother's career.

Nothing about your argument holds water ... not anymore ... thanks to Ugas and the PBC themselves.

Is anyone going to call the PBC on this?

154 is a PBC exclusive division so not too hard to understand why a close loss in a division doesn't cause loss in value where almost everyone has fought each other and has been knocked out at least once except for Charlo and Castano.

160 is dead and most of their folks are on DAZN, Charlo claims to be a MW and will make the jump only for Canelo fight and say he remains at 168 , no one knows what happens next.

Ugas was set on the undercard of Pac-Spence. His opponent dropped out due to an injury. He's in the same weight class and a top 5 WW. He just moved from undercard to main. It was the perfect sequence of events for Ugas.

    This….

my understanding is Plant got advised badly and it positioned in a way that he thought it was not standard terms when it was completely normal.

my understanding in the PBC side is they didn’t want to do Spence vs Pac, fury vs wilder and Canelo vs Plant within 2 months of each other. So they got Plant upset by advising him the terms were not normal. PBC actually want the Canelo vs Plant card to go on in December. That will be the next thing to delay.

The clause essentially for Canelo was that he wanted to fight amd get paid, if plant couldn’t fight. However if Canelo got injured plant had to wait for him. Which he should have wanted to do anyway as it was a lottery ticket

Gas was on the card for the same reason due to the clause. There’s no problem with PBC doing the same On the Canelo undercard and stick Benavidez or charlo on the undercard

Marcus Browne?? Kovalev? There’s plenty that could be on standby.

let’s face it a Canelo loss for over $10m will not harm his potential as he’s not making that money any time soon unless he fights someone with a pulse.

Why are you pulling LHWs in this? Plus Kovalev is a relic at this point.

Because Pac/Spence are with the same promoter (as is Ugas). So a possible sub on the undercard, especially a quality one in Ugas, made sense. Canelo and Plant don't share a promoter. Something tells me the late sub thing wasn't the only roadblock.

I didnt think PBCs issue was allowing Canelo to get a replacement.

It was that Canelo wasnt letting Plant have one, if Canelo got injured.

Canelo's team is the best right now, they carefully choose their next opponents.
