So PBC can't provide Canelo a late replacement if Plant is injured, but Pac gets one, no problem?

Benavidez was already in training camp, would have made sense to make that fight instead, but hey what are you going to do. Ugas was already on the card, so it was easy to bump him from co main to the main spot especially since ugas opponent Maidana suffered an eye injury himself.

Benavidez is training for a fight for August 28, he would have had a full training camp and some if he had recieved a call for a canelo fight for September 18. Point of the matter is, he just wasnt being considered to fight Canelo at that time.

Okay then, I'm corrected on the Benavidez part not having a full camp but tbh I don't think replacement was the only reason that the fight broke off once.

For Nelo's team to take such extreme measures like say Bivol will be replacing Plant and then backtrack to change the date only means that they were desperate to make the Undisputed fight .

It's gotten to the point I was actually excited to watch Chris Algieri fight last week on the undercard of a rap battle.

    Times like these ...

Had tickets been sold for the Canelo vs Plant fight? Had a date even been finalised and set in stone? Had the Canelo undercard been finalised too? Was there a readymade replacement for Plant within that undercard? How many days before the proposed fight night did negotiations break down?

Eleven days before a fight is set to take place presents a whole different set of issues than those which arose from the Canelo/Plant negotiations breaking down.

It's not the same scenario at all...

Which isnt a big deal. Plant was always plan A. Besides Canelo wouldnt have gotten credit for beating Bivol on 6 weeks notice, and especially if it was at a cathweight of 172. Canelo was smart by pursuing plant again for all the marbles.

Pac and Ugas were both sceduled to fight on the same card and both of their opponents pulled out due to injuries and since both Pac and Ugas fight at the same weight and both were scheduled to fight in the same date they chose to fight each other instead of just postponing their original fights and not fight at all. I know that the OP is a bit dumb but still this isnt rocket science and its a pretty easy to see how things worked out this way.

I know I should always expect people to back up what they say, I guess it's a character flaw.

You have a link verifying that angle of negotiations?

Because again, from what Ive seen, you have it mixed up and its Canelo that was trying to prevent Plant from getting a replacement.
