If he is so confident of his ability (after the win) why wont he just re match Vic given it is clearly the biggest fight he can take (happy to be proven wrong there??)...but really its a rematch with **** loads of interest. Vic's body of work has been much better then Donaires after their original fight. Nonito has had 5 fights vs Vics 9 including a win Cristian Mijares. I like Donaire but I really think its a massive **** take they have fought again...Vic has been calling him out for ages... Do you think they realize they maybe got lucky with Vic the first time...?
the rematch talks fell apart because the greedy little ****er glasschinyan wwanted a piece of the phillipine tv money even though he allready had the armenian and australian money all to himself so its vic who pulled out not donaire get your facts right
There's young fresh boxerers coming up Darchinyan looking like his age. But you can never count him out.Very dangerous puncher. I still give him a punchers chance.
I think the question is broader than that. Why wont Donaire fight anyone good? I don't think he is afraid, I really don't. But for whatever reason, he is unable to sign a contract with anyone - including Darchinyan. He had a chance to do that recently - and blew it. Why? Why does he keep failing to make the significant fights happen? Is he a prima donna? Does he think he is some god and make stupid demands? Does he think he is too good to fight real people for real splits? Vic has a proven track record of making the big fights happen. Donaire has a proven track record of failing to make big fights happen. So the question must be: What is Donaire doing wrong? Is he seen as being too much risk/reward? I would have thought that knocking off a guy in the P4P top 10 would appeal to some of the other fighters in the division. It's not like he has looked invincible either.
SIMPLE, he got lucky the first time. And he wants to prolong his stay at the top for as long as he could. He's a fakking celebrity too in the Phillipines. Once he loses, the fame goes away with it.
a more important question is... why is the fight with vic the only good fight that's being seriously talked about for donaire. what the f*ck is wrong with his management that he's been fighting scrubs since vic, such a waste of talent. and this is coming from a donaire fan.
