What's ridiculous is all you "boxing fans" who take the term "glass jaw" literally. Anyone who follows the sport should know that it is simply a metaphor for weak punch resistance.atsch

 

Umm sir I happen to be an Ivy Leaguer of Boxing and I do know that taking a perfect punch to the temple has absolutely nothing to with with punch resistance.. U can be a MArgarito, Andrade, i dont care how good of a punch resistance you have. The fact is that no one can take a good shot to the temple. They all go down. :bart

 

Jones has always had a suspect chin. He just managed to avoid big punchers for most of his career and when he did fight them, they were the type of guys who were too slow and one dimensional to hit him with anything. Some people are still in denial about this. He avoided DM, backed out of fights against Jirov and Buster Douglas, handpicked the weakest and most lightly regarded HW champ then called out (and subsequently ducked) Corrie Sanders to run back down to LHW where he eventually got starched because his reflexes had slowed a little

 

Any fighter who gets hit on the equilubrium or takes a perfect shot to the body will go down regardless of how granite their chins are.. Im not saying that Roy's chin was never suspect but it wasn't glass, das all im saying.. Even that KO shot by Tarver.. I mean ****, that punch would have knocked out a bull, and that KO loss by Johnson was a temple shot too.

 

How do you know he avoided DM....state some facts here show me proof.
