Neither Pavlik nor Mundine is going to beat Joe Calzaghe anytime soon. Mundine is too inexperienced and tentative whereas Pavlik is a big middleweight slugger who is greatly aided by his size advantage in most of his fights. Calzaghe deserves props for what I thought was a close but clear decision victory over the #2 in the division.

As for Kessler, he lost to a fighter who is really get up there in years (35 is old for 168 lbs) in his first step up to the elite class. Mikkel's biggest weakness has always been the fact that he is far too robotic and predictable. This seperated him from the P4P and potential P4P class, as I have always pointed out (when talking potential/mythical matchups). He now has to go home and rebuild, ala Jeff Lacy.
