I'm starting to doubt if the fight even didn't do 1 million buys, why the wait for the numbers, like really.......

*******s were so suspicious about Floyd's numbers. I wonder why they don't care to question these numbers?

I don't see why people are so in to PPV numbers...:think

Surely good PPV numbers is good for the sport, irrelevant of who is boxing.

    Day and time, I suppose.....................................

As a hardcore fan of boxing I would just like to see how we'll did the public receive this fight considering it was a Trilogy, and especially with the controversial ending, plus Arum was the one boasting about Manny's number when Floyd was in retirement and things were going good, why so secretive all of a sudden, and is HBO truly about to allow this when they are quick to state Floyds numbers 3 days after his fights

He does say it did outstanding and obviously it did over 1mil, just a matter of time tilll we get it. Im guessing 1.41 or thereabouts.

Whats interesting is his comment in bold...

Floyd-Ortiz was never officially released by HBO, surely something they would like to brag about. I'm not saying it did bad but likely its not just Arum who likes to inflate numbers.

This. Fans arguing over which fighter sold more buys is just plain sad.

He's the only one who's ever been dumb enough to get caught though.

If the numbers were truly as big as they state trust me Arum would gladly release the numbers, while tooting his horn and saying that Mann is the current PPV king

Pacman numbers are tops. That bum Mayweather can't even compare. Pacman's fans come to see him win unlike Mayweather fans that come to see him get pounded. Floyd, once you're done, you won't have any friends or fans around to inflate your EGO. Too bad, because you could have been likebale.

My thinking is that had it done in the 1.4mil range, the numbers would have been released by now.

My guess it it did just past 1 million. Would have done more had the promotion focused more on the fact Pacquiao got schooled by Marquez twice previously instead of focusing on HBO's bias assertion that Pacquiao was a completely different and improved fighter from the one that faced Marquez twice previously and leaving potential viewers to insinuate that a 38 year old Marquez would not do any better than Mosley.

If Pacquiao fights Marquez next instead of Mayweather, I expect it to easily surpass 1.5 mil.

its interesting as it pertains to leverage each guy will have in negotiations to the fight, but makes no difference as to who the better fighter is. oscar for example. nuff said. i hope for the fights sake- though, that manny does better numbers than ortiz and floyd, simply so that floyd agrees to a 50 cut- otherwise the negotiations wil have another obstacle if floyd or manny has numbers that are egregiously over the other, and insist on a larger cut. historically of course , floyd does bigger numbers ppv than manny in the us, but manny has bigger numbers past year or so, bigger gate, and merchandise, plus bigger international numbers. all in all- its so close- and for goodwill and for the sake of getting it done- that hopefully they cut the pie doen the middle, and **** arum off.

wouldnt it be great if arum gets cut out.
