    “You know when they start promoting the Super Bowl? The Monday after the last one ends,” Gomez said to the paper. “That’s what we need to do. When it’s a super-fight like this, you need time to build up for it, to generate the most money possible. That’s what we want to do, and we’ve made a serious offer.”


    “Golovkin said he takes great pride in boxing, that it’s not about money, that he’s willing to fight. He said we’d make a weak offer. We have all these deal points on the table and we’re not getting an answer. I told [them], ‘Let’s sit down and continue the conversation,’ and I haven’t heard back. And if they seriously think we don’t want to make the fight, then take this offer. It’s the most money Golovkin’s ever made.”

    "I could come up with 10 or 20 points that prove Canelo is … by far the bigger draw. I don’t want to negotiate in the media, but if they want to discuss the rest of the points, come over, sit down. We’re serious about making the fight. No excuses to get out of it. We’re willing to make the fight. The notion we’re scared is ridiculous. Call our bluff. We’re ready to make the fight.”

    It's funny how team Canelo is trying to lowball GGG especially when he has to fight his mandatory challenger(Jacobs).

    The whole thing is a farce, has there ever been a fight agreed and signed a year before they actually want it to happen? Its mayweather pacquiao all over again,lots of back and forth in the media. Fans on both sides arguing each guy is ducking... Oscar claimed floyd ruined the sport, he is following what floyd did with his career, he is making millions off canelo and making poor offers to golovkin. This fight will do 1.5mill ppvs @ $89ppv (i think thats the american cost) is 133million... how can 10million be fair...

    Everything coming out of GBP camp regarding anything to do with a Canelo vs GGG fight is just becoming a bit cringe worthy now. My advice would be to just shut up about it, fix Canelo,s hand, get him a fight for as early as possible in 2017, let GGG face Jacobs or who ever is next for him and THEN focus on getting the GGG fight. (if they want it at all).

    The injury could be a 'gimmick' to prolong the possible fight with GGG till he gets 40 y/o.

    And you and the rest of the Stans are Pacturds who can't get over the schooling Floyd gave Pacquiao, and in a few months you'll have a Deja Vu moment wheb Canelo does the same to the over hyped Golovkin.
