9/10 people on ESB who spout off about Leonard avoiding Pryor do so because they've got their "information" (and I use the term loosely) from that documentary, it takes a lot of artistic license with the situation in order to push the Pryor angle (its film on Pryor-Arguello).

Pryor was "calling out" a payday, anyone can "call out" a fighter. Shame he didn't want to fight Leonard that much that he bothered to fight at 147 and was still having live and death with Arguello when Leonard had retired.

When are people going to leave the school ground and stop attaching so much importance to "calling out"?

Leonard was champ at 147, fighting Duran and Hearns, a 140lber "calls him out" despite not having moved up in weight and still having unfinished business at Lt Welter against a 135lber.....FFS!!atsch

 

Somebody was saying before that Pryor was actually offered the Leonard fight, but that he turned it down because he didn't think he was being given enough. Never found out if that was true, did anybody else here that?

 

Rob, you missed the entire point of my post, and are underestimating the amount of detail I go into when analysing a fighters resume, AGAIN assuming that I rank fighters whilst being influenced by bias.
