Biggest discerning factor in this fight. I would be surprised if he was hurt, let alone stopped, by anyone in this tournament. No one here has the combination of speed, power, accuracy and activity to do that.

If Kessler wins, it'll be because Ward was tentative and selective, to a fault, with his punches. A stoppage here by either fighter is as unlikely as any other Ward match-up in the entire thing. Ward will not commit to his punches against a fighter like Kessler unless he's on his death bed and clearly about to go. And if Kessler does find Ward with something other than fluff, Ward will effectively engage in his spoiler tactics and totally defuse any momentum the Dane had.

People bring up Ward not stopping Miranda as some sign of his lack of quality without mentioning that AA went life and death with Miranda and Pavlik went to hell and back, both trading bombs, until Miranda finally pelted. Ward on the otherhand pitched a shutout and did not lose a single round.

Haven't seen that many fights with Ward. In the Miranda fight, Ward was very impressive in the first 5-6 rounds. Good hand speed, footwork and generally boxing talent. But he somehow faded in the later rounds?. Stamina problems ?
Kessler for sure will be ready for 12 rounds of boxing come Nov. 21 :bbb

Nope...I'll be back on my home board...basking in Victory after another Mission Accomplished...hint hint.

    See above.

After Ward beats Kessler, I will simply tear into any Kesslerites who dare to show their names in the aftermath...and then....after I'm satisfied....I'll go back to where I belong...to a forum where the majority of posters are Quality Boxing Fans....not garbage fans.

There's only one of me....and this is my 2nd tour here...my 1st tour here is The Stuff of Legend.

Other than that...you're pretty delusional and mentally challenged to think there's only 1 dude who feels Kessler is overrated and wants to bash him....

btw...you know you're on the list, right?...that little diplomatic turn you made doesn't change the fact you're a garbage fan.

lol...like those names and wins are impressive or somethin'...

Kessler is one of the most overrated fighters of this DECADE...

Nice to see another educated fan with good judgement...a formidable post there, rccwilliams...

Five better wins than anything on Ward's resume.

If the Ward huggers on here were actually intelligent to give a tactical analysis of why they think Ward will be able to win, and do it in a way that describes Kessler the way that Kessler actually fights, then I might give the arguments some credence. But making an argument based on resume is just ignorant, as is calling Kessler a brawler.

Damn, it's this guy again. The same guy that said the best way to beat Dirrell is to swing wild haymakers because short punches don't work.

So basically Dirrell beats Hopkins and every other straight punching champion of the past, but somehow doesn't get passed a UFC fighter turned boxer.

    Okay...

And yeah I agree that Ward can hurt Kessler, and will probably win, but damn...you gotta be on a different side than me. Cuz most of what you say I can't agree with.

Calzaghe has elite speed and elite defense. Ward has neither.

Andrade hit Kessler with some very good punches and rocked him. Kessler can be hurt but he can also take a punch. And I wouldn't be so quick to say Calzaghe had no power. Calzaghe had some good power. He just preferred volume and speed to power. Here and there he can lay into someone. Don't be fooled by the style. Anyway, I don't know why people don't think Ward can punch. I think he has fair punching power, actually.
