I think some people on here get a bad rap because they tend to like certain fighters for stylistic reasons that also happen to coincide with some ethnic or racial divides. There aren't a whole lot of white guys who fight like Floyd Mayweather or Bernard Hopkins, there aren't a lot of Mexicans that fight like Arthur Abraham, etc...

I don't recall seeing Danny or farmboxer, either, say anything that was overly racist, but then who knows what they really think. I tend to give the benefit of the doubt.

Still, while Danny obviously likes to get people worked up and talk some **** Farmboxer is just a sanctimonious, repetitive, whiny troll.

Exactly. See if you can see a connection

    1. Mayweather
    2. Dirrell
    3. Dawson
    4. Diaz
    5. Gamboa
    6. Martinez
    7. Marquez

Those are currently my favorite fighters in the sport. Now with the exception of Diaz( the kids personality won me over, what can I say). What is their style?

And even though I picked Ward to beat Kessler. He will never be one of my favorite fighters. Too conventional for my tastes.

Gamboa looks like another odd one out on that list alongside Diaz. I love Gamboa myself.

Andre Ward has SOME power, but he's not a power puncher. He was landing on Kesser at will and wasn't even close to knocking him out. I have a hard time seeing Ward trying to hurt a boxer with an iron chin like Abraham. Also he doesn't put a lot of snap in his punches compared to other boxers like Andre Dirrell.

Ward landed some legit punches but they did not bother Kessler that much, not even the very numerous low blows. It was the head butts that hurt Kessler, esp. the huge illegal intentional billy goat one from left field. Ward should have been disqualified. This would have been a good fight if not for Ward's referee.

Why did Ward refuse to fight in the tournament unless he got all his fights in his home town?

he did seem to stiffen kesslers legs with one good straight right in the 4th or 5th, but yes your right hes not a power puncher, his strength comes from his versatility and his multi dimensional fight style, like a bernard hopkins

Look dude, Ward beat his ass and deserves respect for it. He was the underdog and Kessler the fave. Headbutting doesn't win a fight and he still would have smoked Kessler without it. Why can't you say a good thing about the guy? There are a lot of good qualities that Ward showed last night but you can't bring yourself to admit it or even give him the smallest props.

How many punches he landed on Kessler? Joe Calzaghe landed less on Kessler and Kessler looked obviously hurt from Calzaghe's punches. Maybe I'm underestimating his power, but I have a hard time seeing how he will hurt Arthur Abraham when they fight.

I have seen numerous fighters disqualified for intentional head butts. It's a double standard that makes me angry.

It's been a while since I watched it, but the only time I recall Kessler being hurt by Calzaghe was when Calzaghe caught him to the body.

Ward doesn't have monster power, but he had enough to keep Kessler honest and back him up at times, and Kessler has proven to have a good chin so far.

i do think ward should have lost a point for the last butt, a DQ would have been to harsh becouse i dont think the butts were intentional,
kesslers main power punch is his straight right or his left hook and kessler needs a bit of distance to throw these punches, every time ward would be open to these punches hed step in as close as possible to smother kessler, those headbutts didnt come on perpose they were accidental, but i do think a point deduction would have been fair

he dosent need to hurt abraham to win, the good thing about wards style is that he dosent need to rely one one single thing like power or speed, he has such a big bag of skills that he can give any fighter hell

Ward and Dirrell wil not fight, they will just hold. I think that fight will be boring as Hell.
