135.1-140=Light Welterweight

140.1-147=Welterweight

145 falls under Welterweight. So they have to fight for Cotto's belt. If you want to have pac's belt, tell cotto to fight pac @ LWW range (which I doubt cotto will agree)

147 lbs. = WW LIMIT

therefore, 140.1-146.9 lbs are within the limit.

Not to nitpick or anything, and you're free to call me a N00b, but isn't Welterweight from 105 (current minimum weight) up to 147lbs? Much like LWW is from 105 to 140lbs?

I don't think there's a minimum weight in the weight classes, as long as you on or below the max weight.

yes, you can weigh in any weight you want as long as it's not over 147lbs (or 140lbs). but it's stupid to do that though, therefore the consensus today would be 141-147 or 136-140, and it's just right

145 weight limit (141-145) is still on the welterweight range.
