apparently you do unless you wouldnt have degraded his bout with Oscar which was just as impressive if not moreso then Cotto win against Mosley at a lower weight class.

Floyd is the man at 147 because he beat the man who beat the man who beat the man. We are trying to explain to you what lineal means but you just dont seem to get it. Cotto isnt the man because he won a vacated belt. Mayweather is also doubly the man because he beat the a top 10 P4P fighter in Ricky Hatton and moved up a weight class and defeated Oscar De La Hoya. Regardless how you feel about these two guys, they are still highly rated, much higher rated then anyone Cotto has fought above 140.

Its not about that. The thread you got pissed off on was questioning why Cotto is not the man and Floyd is, I think that has been explained thoroughly by now.

Why does it matter what Floyd has done at 147?

People keep saying that he hasn't, but who the **** cares? He hasn't done much at 147 because he spent most of this career at 130, and then moving up to 147 by way of 135 and 140. When he got to 147, he fought Zab Judah who is a real welterweight. He fought Carlos Baldomir who was the champ. Then he moved UP in weight and fought a real junior middleweight. Then a moved back down to fight a top 10 pound for pound fighter, the legit champ at 140 lbs, and a pefectly legitimate welterweight (people who say he isn't just don't like that he would get beat by some welterweights).

So befoe fighting Oscar Floyd fought two real welterweights. And after that he's only fought ONE fight, and that was against a top pound for pound fighter, who many picked over Floyd. Now he's fighting Oscar again.

If Oscar gets to 147... he will be a real welterweight. Now everyone is bitching about this. But after their first fight... many people said Oscar really won, he got robbed, etc etc.

Floyd haters hate Floyd for no particular reason. All these threads are just their attempts to justify their behavior towards Floyd because subconciously they are afraid people will notice that they just hate someone for no good reason!

I said Margarito would have a chance of stopping Cotto all along. Cotto has a very poor defense, he gets hit with shots he shouldnt be hit with. Against Torres, Corley, Judah ect. Margarito has a chance to catch Cotto. But no way will this dude outbox Cotto lol. He better bring something more to the table then he brought against C level Santos and green Paul WIlliams. This aint ****ing "cant spell box" Cintron.

I don't give two ****s about Mayweather beating DLH because it was at 154lbs. Mayweather beating DLH more impressive than Cotto beating Mosley has NO SIGNIFICANCE

147lbs: Floyd Cotto Mosley Quintana Williams Margarito Judah Clottey Collazo Bonsu Cintron

    Floyd's got Judah
Cotto's got Mosley Quintana Judah and Margarito if he wins

OH wait!!! You wanna suck Floyd's nutsack for beating Baldomir because he had the belts? Floyd is the "champ" at 147lbs he isn't "the man" at 147lbs

So if Miguel Cotto beats Mosley Quintana Williams Margarito Judah Clottey Collazo Bonsu and Cintron - while Mayweather rematches DLH rematches Hatton and rematches the Big-Show Floyd is still the champ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

    GTFO:lol:

I know it sickens me, once again I never comment on threads on dealing with making the fight itself. Some of these dicks wanna claim that Floyd has apparently done something at 147lbs and Cotto apparently has done nothing. They can kiss my ass:lol:

Yup, that's exactly what they will say, an example I can give is when Margarito lost to Paul Williams, a fight I think Marg could have won easy if he had not started so slow, but getting back to topic when Marg lost to Williams, the next day Yero Moody writes an article saying if Williams outboxed Margarito imagine the ''one sided beating" Floyd would have given him, which is bull**** because as the old saying goes styles make fights.

Yes it does. You are asking why Mayweather is considered the man and Cotto isnt. These fights are why Floyd is considered the man.

Both Hatton, Judah and Baldomir were champions at the time Floyd fought them. Quintana wasnt a champion. Mosley wasnt a champion and Judah wasnt a champion. He hasnt fought Margarito yet so stop using it as a template.

Now you are just getting hysterical. Drink some warm milk and hit the hay.

So you have not even posted one quote of someone saying that Cotto hasn't done **** at 147. Your lie is just an excuse to hate on Mayweather.

Cotto has done more at 47 than Floyd. Its plain as day!! To say the opposite? Shows one knows not of what they speak.

If Cotto beats Margarito? There's no one left save Floyd:nono Hatton, retirement, excuses, BS, and more of the same wont hide, hold back, nor stop the truths self evidence.

Even right now its CLEAR that Cotto is THE #1 CONTENDER:yep

Save that ****, save that ****!!!!!:yep

Judah was Champ when Floyd beat him?
Baldomir was the champ when Floyd got those belts, You wanna add baldomir to Floyd's list of defeated ATGs go ahead.
Hatton had a belt by barely beating Collazo and Hatton poses no threat to the 147lb division at all.

    VERY IMPRESSIVE

Yes, he was IBF welterweight champ.

Nobody said anything about ATG's. Baldomir beat the man who beat the man. You are the one who initially tried to place Baldomir in league with Gomez, Baldomir was no scrub.

REgardless on how you feel about Hatton he was still p4p #8 and considered the best 140lb fighter in the sport. As to why Mayweather is still considered the man.
