MAB, JMM, Pac, Guzman, Larios, Guty, Cesar Soto, Norwood and Jarlegui from 1995 to 2004. Outstanding level of competition for a long period of time, no doubt. Even if most of them are losses. Anybody saw some of these fights? I am curious on how he performed on those fights, because these are all different types of fighters (brawler, pressure fighter, slickster, counterpuncher, volume puncher) What do you say?:think
one tough muther****er.He was rough n had some dirty tactics but its what made him el ciclon.Sad about his passing
He was roughing up Manny Pacquiao, had Manny frustrated, yes he was dirty but it was more of a clever dirty.
The most recent fights he had were against Pac and Guzman. Saw the Pac fight, but not the Guzman. But the latter's fight was 3 years after his draw with Pac.
i seen him against a former olympian on espn it was one of his last fights... a guy was on the comeback trail and agapito knocked him out... he was tough guy... that i remember...
Pac-Sanchez almost looked like an octagon fight. I remember Sanchez dropping a knee on Pac's knee while they where both falling down during a clinch.
Sanchez was a fighter that liked to use his head and elbows. It was fun to watch him ,unless he was fighting a fighter you liked. he kind of reminded me of a bad guy from the WWF, were you like to hate him but still want to see him....did he die?
Very tough little fighter, always a tough night for anyone even his legal work was still high class. Would have been a great fighter in the old days, when his different take on the rules would have suited more. He gave Manny a lot of problems, some people even suggested he set out a blue print to take on Manny. That of course wasnt the case, and like Pedroza in his day, not many around people made dirty work like Sanchez did. His fight against Guzman he was fading, coming back from an injury that had put him out for a while but that was boxing perfection from Joan that night. He is a fighter who I will remember.
