why wouldn't they. They let Hopkins and Oscar fight for the 160lb title at 158.

They've been letting boxers fight for titles at catchweights forever.

    Why are they 'hypocrites'?

they would be hypocrites if they let guys like Oscar and Chavez fight for titles at catchweights but not Pacquiao

Well exactly. Just wondering if Nallege has some reasoning, or just doesn't know what the word means. Suspect the latter, obviously.

Hey guys, it actually isn't for the junior middleweight title. It's just for a meaningless piece of tin purporting to be "the title". I've said this many times and I'll say it again - ignore the ****ing belt. The WBC being crooked is not something new.

Yep. This is the title whose last owner, Sergio Martinez, held it for a year despite never in his career taking part in a fight where the WBC light middleweight title belt was on the line. And people are getting precious about it now!?

How dare Pacquiao and Margarito tarnish the proud legacy of the very belt that Shane Mosley doped himself up to the eyeballs to win!?

    :deal

Yeah ****ing damn right it does, De la Hoya, Cotto and now Marg? cant this guy fight somebody at their weight? i like him but it pisses me off that he always has some sort of restriction on his opponent to give him the edge when he would probly beat them on level terms anyway.

he was a lightweight when he fought Oscar at WW.

he was a JrWW when he fought Cotto at 145.

he was a SuperBantamweight when he fought Barrera and Marquez at 126

he was a Featherweight when he fought Morales at 130.

    he's a WW and he's fighting Margo at 151.

I wouldn't say he had the edge in any of those fights. Some of them, both guys had to give something. Most of them, only Pac had to give somethiing.

Also, he fought Hatton at Hatton's best weight (140)

De La Hoya - not a catchweight fight or a title fight. What the **** are you talking about?

But he is still fighting the likes of Cotto (147 +) at 145

De La Hoya (154) at 145

Hatton - Wasn't the same after PBF got his hands on him

Margo (154) at 151, Like i said im a fan but it pisses me off that every fighter he now faces is at a cachweight or is bringing a fighter down a division.

And its not just Pac that bothers me specifically, its fighters who get away with adding "titles" to their legacy by fighting at weights lower than the actual weight class. And i know this belt Pac and Marg are fighting for isnt the true WBC belt BUT you will all say its his 8th "title" even though its for a belt that is irrelevent at a weight lower than the division hes fighting for the belt!!

No it was worse. it was a weight an ageing Oscar hadn't fought at for 5+ years? it was obvious to anyone with half a brain oscar would be severley weight drained and Pac would run rings round him after his last outing at 135 vs Diaz was anything to go about.

I know its all about mach making getting the fighter "at the right time" but that fight was a disaster waiting to happen for Oscar and he probly knew it.

I am convinced that the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF are having a contest with each other to see who can be the worst.
This is the WBC's latest attempt.

1st: WBO sanctioned the 145 lbs. catchweight fight between PAC-Cotto for WBO welterweight title (max 147) 2nd: WBC sanctioned the 151 lbs. catchweight fight between PAC-Margo for WBC Jr. Middleweight title (max 154) 3rd (my guess): WBA will sanction the future 155 lbs. catchweight fight between PAC-Martinez for WBA Middleweight title (max 160)
