DLH fight was contracted at 147lbs not 145. And why do you take it for granted that Margarito is a '154 fighter' when he's weighed in under 147lbs in 10 of his last 11 fights?

It was obvious after the fight cause before the fight almost no one other than a few of the Pac diehard fans was picking Pac to beat Oscar in fact everyone was calling Oscar a cherrypicker and a maricon for fighting a lightweight instead of fighting Margarito who had just beat Cotto in spectacular fashion.

Of course, nobody gets to take a swipe at Pacquiao that way though.

You can just forget about the titles Dan-B, no matter how much you think the organization is crooked. It is a dream for fighters to win a world title. People talk about PAc winning multiple titles in multiple divisions, and bring up catch weights that other fighters fought at. Leonard won Lalonde's lhw title at 168-a ****ing joke. Dlh tried to fight for Hops title at 156 or 158. Fans didn't cosign that ****. Nobody cosigned Chavez-Sweetpea at 144 or 145 either.

With the exception of Dan and Luke on this subject...stop with the sorry ass pathetic outlooks on catch weights trying to bring history to what you're saying. It's a ****ing travesty that PAc has now won titles in two weight classes where the other guy had to agree to his demand. It's a ****ing shame.

You can fight at catch weights if you want, but when a world title is on the line, and a fighter can't max out to the division limit, that just goes to show that you're trying to weaken a guy or gain a psychological advantage over your opponent. Floyd does all of the tricks of the trade during negotiations, but he never ask's for a catch weight fight!

I think you and I pretty much agree on this besides who we blame for the belt being on the line (you blame Pac, I blame Sulaiman) and the bit about Margarito being weakened. I just don't see how a man who has jumped between the two divisions easily for years, spending most of his time at the lower one, will be in anyway weakened by weighing in at 151. He may not have the full advantage, but that's a different story.

Personally I'd prefer the fight not to be happening at all, but I'll take it for what it is and hope for better next time out. Whether it be Bradley, Williams, Floyd or JMM.

Yeah i here you Cobbler and i tend to agree on pretty much most of your arguments, but i dont think we will see eye to eye on this, i just think to fight for a world title it should be at that weight.

Like i said before its not JUST Pac its all boxers who do it, i just think its plain wrong because then hes not the JMW champ is he? JMW starts at 154, if hes fighting at 151 then it shouldnt be for a belt were the weight catagory STARTS at 154?

Same with the Cotto fight at 145, Along with "Champion emeritus" and "Diamond belt", "Cachweight world title fights" to name but a few i dont know it just annoys me how boxing does little things like this that tarnishes the sport (IMO)

even if he(pbf) didnt make 154

im a fan of manny...but these bs catchweight for titles..forced on both fighters.....wack!!!
