WBC stated that they won't accept Haye as Vitali's next opponent, even tho Vitali apparently wants the fight. What do you guys think about the WBC banning fighters who are not convicted of something? I personally would not want Haye fighting for my belt because I think he is a disgrace and would not defend the belt, he would not be a good champion...BUT, he does not stand a chance against klit, sorry....I thought Chisora got the blame for what went down, where I saw Chisora with a microphone in his hand taking a fist full of glass. I would want to hurt the guy too after that. Chisora did some stupid stuff, no doubt, I just think many champions and fighters through history have also done stupid stuff and many of them fought on.
To be fair. Haye is not in their top 10 rankings. I think that's more of the case rather than what happened with Haye v Chisora. Haye should fight a title eliminator (minimum).
He's not gonna come out of retirement to fight an eliminator on the off-chance he MAY get a fight against Vitali, and I don't blame him. He could come out of retirement and fight someone only for Boente to tell him to go **** himself and Haye looks like a money-grabbing ****. The only 'eliminator' I would accept is Haye-Chisora but Haye is simply different class to Del-Boy. Haye-Vitali has to be better than the **** that both Klits have been serving up the past 2 years; blown up Cruisers, novices and fighters coming off losses.
Theres no shame in coming off a loss against the No 1 in the division, but fighting a novice coming off losses against Fury and Hellenius? Embarassing atsch
Haye is still the biggest threat to either Klit. I'd give him more of a chance against Vitali than against Wlad. It doesn't take a genius to see that Vitali has slowed and is having trouble putting people away, people he'd have blown away if he were in his prime. If he fought Vitali next, i'd say its 70/30 in favor of Vitali. It's a bigger chance than I'd give absolutely anybody else and I think Haye warrants it. Question is, exactly how valuable is a win over Vitali? The guy has to age at some point, it's widely considered that he's past his prime and if he just carries on fighting then he will eventually lose. I know its a bold statement but it's the biggest HW fight that can be made right now, simple as...
If Haye wants the WBC to sanction a fight with Vitali, first he needs to fight and defeat one of the WBC top 15 heavyweights.
I call bull**** to this:deal It is kinda a wierd move considering thats the biggest money fight for that title right now. When you see something like this that seems like an outlier you need to ask yourself cui bono. Maybe JS wants a bigger cut from Haye/Vitali or maybe Suliman is trying to position someone else for a title shot. I really have no idea. All I know is that this isn`t a typical move. From the outside looking in it doesn`t make bussiness sense. And the WBC is the most corrupt organization in boxing.
:deal Got to say I agree with you... Although Vitali has slowed some, I'd like to have seen him have a complete fight vs. Chisora with a healthy left shoulder. Then those 70/30 %'s would likely go way back down. I honestly have the odd's some what lower. That being said, the way Haye fights and the low amount of punches he throws, while compared to Vitali's output, I'd all but rule out a Haye UD, and the other option; a KO win over Vitali, is always extremely unlikely
Its hilarious people still think Haye is a threat to anyone in the heavyweight division. Can you list all the top 10 heavyweights he's beaten? As much as I like Sugar Valuev, beating a guy who went life and death with Holyfield is not a good win.
like someone said. Haye should fight a title eliminator. If he really wants it he should earn it. The way he performed with Vlad shows he does not deserve a fight with Vitali just because he wants it. He is good enough to win an eliminator.
