Article is on the site that provides news for fights. who do you think takes this one? I personally think that if JMM can come up and KO diaz, Valero will knock him out cold early.
Paulie Malignaggi just looked hard at the scar tissue around his eyes and they immediately started to bleed...
I wonder if Diaz has any motivation left in him. He looked very discouraged in the rematch with Pauli. Personally, I hope he comes back strong but would pick Valero to stop him right now.
I think Diaz has showed the best he's ever going to be, and I can't really see the capacity for him to get better. I won't criticize him in the JMM fight, as he was in the ring with a tremendous opponent, and one that he managed to push to the limit. But against Paulie he was poor. Failed to show any hints of being able to adapt, and really struggled to get any momentum going. For this reason I'd pick Valero to stop him at some point in the fight. It's a fight that actually makes alot of sense for Valero too, as despite him being in poor form, Diaz is definately a step up in class. He's also a good name with a good following, and provides a perfect venue (Texas being the only state that will allow Valero to fight) for Valero to get recognition and build a profile.
I made a thread about this a couple of days ago. It looks extremely unlikely now. Diaz has been quoted on B-scene as saying he's moving back down to 135 as he feels "much stronger" at the weight (smart move). Valero wanted the fight at 140 to test the waters at light-welter as he's struggling to make 135. Look for Diaz to step in for Guerrero - it'll be Diaz-Katsidis II.
Diaz style fits Valero just fine relentless,no defense, trading punches...he will stand for 5-6 rds b/c Valero dont have a one punch KO and Diaz can take a hit but after 6 rds he'll be out of comission
i feel diaz could beat valero, without the fights with paulie people would b efancying diaz, them fights were at light welter, valero hasnt faced anyone in diaz class, would be a good indicater as to were valero is
