Maybe you could get a hint from the 200+ posts in the RBR thread rather than make a thread about something already being discussed.

 

typical Vitali fight: hurt Adamek early, was patient, the ref took too long to step in, late TKO

 

usual late round stuff couldve finished a lot earlier had he taken chances

domination but nothing to get the world excited about HWs


not competitive nor explosive

Firstly props to Vitali for beating Adamek, he did what we all thought he would do but he still deserves credit for not letting Adamek into the fight at all. In saying that Adamek looked quite poor in the fight (again i'm sure this had a lot to do with how Vitali faught) but all this 'today was when I realised Vitali was great' nonsense has to stop :-(

IMO he looked as good as he ever has, he just so happened to get a chance to fight a blown up Light Heavyweight so was able to fully demonstrate his size and power advantage to the fullest.

Back to Adamek's poor performance it was quite disappointing to see him not try anything new but just swing away while forcing his face on to Vitali's fists waiting for himself to get saved by the referee, heart yes but he didn't show much else from tonights showing maybe he should think about moving back down to cruiserweight.

 

Something like this. BUT Vitali still deserves huge credit for his classy performance at the age of 40.

 

a 40 year old should not dominate a prime mobile HW like that.

I had it 50/50 pre-fight and I'm really impressed with what I saw.

I had written up a nice long reply to you (in my other thread) explaining why I thought there was no chance Adamek would last 12 rounds nevermind win but those ****ing servers crashed on me when I posted :twisted:. Anyways seeing your original point of view I can see why you think this is such a good a win.

I have to disagree here mate. His weight drop made him sharp as a surgeons knife!

 

Like I said Vitali get's all the props he deserves for getting the job done and looking very good in the process, but i'm just arguing against this sudden rush of new feelings (no homo) people are having towards him in that they are now seeing him a new light as if he was good before the fight but now he is great.
